  1. Just read my first steampunk fantasy novel, The Aeronauts Windlass by Jim Butcher of The Dresden Files fame. Highly recommend it to any of you who are fans of this genre or just like a good story, well told. A high tolerance for cats (Talking Cats!!!) may even tempt some of you to check it out.

  2. Louis Pasteur, whose experiments confirmed the germ theory of disease, was born in Dole, France, December 27, 1822. Pasteur also did some work with crystals that was of great value to the French wine industry, so raise a glass to him sometime today.

  3. I was just a wee baby living in Chicago at that time. The view is looking south on State Street, from Lake Street. I remember those buses powered by overhead electric lines. Thank you for the memories!

This was intended to be a response to zzyzx’s video.
