More Updates

There is now a comment preview button, a nice AJAXy one that doesn’t cause the page to reload. Also, the logo now links back to the main page (which was harder to figure out how to do than you’d think; thanks again to Basil).

BTW, so far I’m only sending trolls comments to spam if they are too off topic or comment way too much (one was commenting like ten times a post while writing like Scary Evil Monkey). Other than that, I’d like to keep the blog troll-friendly. It’s not like we’re having erudite discussions they’re interrupting.

  1. Huh… if you block the ads on the page(specifically the Google Ad at the top right), then the link area on the top logo too far to the right, and only covers half of logo.
Just thought I would let you know.

    [SOLUTION: Don’t block ads. -Ed.]

  2. Now we finally don’t have to listen to the trolls keep saying how Romney would be a better pick for VP. Even though I actually agree with them a little, since I think a Palin/Romney ticket would be better then one with Sarah as the VP.

  3. Secret has a point. I mean, I was in tears numerous times during the last month from laughing. Well, ok, maybe once. All right! None. But several have made me laugh. At times I think they’re completely made up coming from abnormal Ronin. They probably have weird e-mail addresses like:

    im_tanked_on_obame@yahoo.net

and are just bored that Harvey is still gone.

Yeah, Harvey!! Where are you? We miss you bad. Hope you are well and things are good.

Why don’t you just block the damn trolls completely? They constantly insult and harass us. One of them made me cry like five times last week.

    Hans Gruber put it best:

“When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer.”

For the same reason, I like you guys.

I like debating and whacking down trolls occasionally. (I’d prefer ones that were intellectually honest and actually tried to defend their positions rather than pretending to be completely averse to them, but…you can’t have anything.) In any case, it would get boring if we never had you guys to take a swing at.

If you ever want to actually defend your political beliefs, let me know.

I have been monitoring this blog for about two months. This site only has about 20-30 regulars that leave comments. It isn’t worth the time of real trolls which is why the only trolls you get are trolls that make fun of you or trolls that pretend to be really stupid. You see the problem is you aren’t even worthy of serious trolling.

… the problem is you aren’t even worthy of serious trolling.

Wow. Thank you! If it wasn’t for lame-ass trolls like you, I don’t know what us readers would do!

Can I send you some money? Such insight has got to be worth something,

See, I’ll offer you a tip – if you want to try to insult somebody and make them feel unworthy, it’s generally not a good idea to say you’ve been following their site for two months. Now…there’s some debate on that fact and I realize you may find it somewhat controversial, but believe it or not, it is now a widely accepted tenet among the scientific community.

To quote another movie great, “who is more foolish – the fool or the fool who follows him?”

I’d say the fool who follows him.

    That’s you.

The guy who only has ad hominems in place of actual thought.

BTW, Frank thanks you for the site hits.

    P.S.

“or trolls that pretend to be really stupid.”

Give it up, you guys aren’t pretending and you know it.

  8. I love how libs are always “monitoring” things. They don’t watch them, listen to them, read them…they always “monitor” them. Funny how they love the terminology they always claim to despise – if someone was “monitoring” them, they would be outraged.

Instead, they think that by using the term “monitoring” somehow it positions them as intellectually superior…while, in reality, they are actually just typing inane comments like a six year old.
