Exit Poll Opinion Poll

Like many of you, I watched the election returns on Tuesday night.  After a while of watching the plethora of exit polling data, I formed a strong opinion about them.

Thinking back to that night, I got curious about IMAO reader opinions regarding 2008 exit poll data.  So I thought I’d ask them-you.

Do you like watching exit poll data?

  • #3^^ NO! (66%, 549 Votes)
  • No, not really. (21%, 175 Votes)
  • Yes, they are fascinating. Too bad they had to interrupt them with actual election results. (13%, 109 Votes)

Total Voters: 833

  1. I fell asleep I figured McCain didn’t have a shot even though I voted. And I figured he would have a shot he’d have at least had to reveal one strategy during the campaign. Can anyone name me one policy he talked about? I sure can’t !

  2. Tuesday night is group bible study night. It’s a good thing, too…it’s probably what kept me from donning a shirt that read “The 4th Horseman” and walking into the DNC party center with a GAU 2. Besides, it would have been depressing to be reminded how many Kool-Aid drinkers now reside in my once solidly red state.

  3. I always exit during exit polls. I thought that’s what they meant and I’m definitely sure that’s all of my time they’re worth (i.e. none).
I have way too many things to do to watch brain-dead “journalists” talk about meaningless numbers, I have to wash my hair that day.

  4. Someone approached me as I exited the voting station but I immediately pistol whipped their Leftist, Obama loving monkey face.
    Stupid leftist.
Fortunately, my favorite piston has a synthetic frame and was not damaged in any way. The blood wiped right off with staining!
    Thank Gawd for synthetic pistols!
Exit polls should be illegal as should broadcasting any results of exit polls before all polls have closed.
Broadcasting exit poll results or calling any States before all States are done voting should result in immediate police raids and the station/channel/network being taken off the air until 30 days after the ewlection is over and all winners are in office.
Would it be great to see Olberman call the first State and then 50 tactical SWAT types take the stage, buttstroke his head with an HK and then MSDNC go black!
    That’d make TiVo worth it!

  5. We had music practice at church that Tuesday. Then after practice, we jammed for a while. It was good. Then I went home, sat down in my favorite easy chair, kicked back, took a swig of my favorite iced tea and promptly fell asleep. All in all, a good day! Except for the election returns….which I didn’t look at until later then next morning. It helped keep my Tuesday a good day!

  6. kinda like the idea of a 24 hour media blackout. I’m not a liberal, so I don’t agree with censorship, but I think allowing the results to be tallied unmolested before reporting them would be a good thing. It is usually even called before California is tallied and it has sooo many electors that it’s amazing that it doesn’t matter.
