It’s way too easy to find left-wing bias in the media – hell you can’t swing a dead cat in a newsroom without hitting left-wing bias – but I always wondered if I’d be able to spot right-wing bias in a new story. Well, I just read this article on foxnews.com, and tell me if it doesn’t sound a bit like an editorial, especially the last couple paragraphs (I’m sorry; I don’t know how to do proper quote indenting with blogger):
“But four days ago, Daschle sounded a different tune.
“‘What has changed over the course of the last 10 years that brings this country to the belief that it has to act in a pre-emptive fashion?’
“What has changed by most accounts is that after four years of continued weapons development, Saddam is even more dangerous than he was when Daschle was advocating military action.
“What also has changed is the resident of the White House, a Republican president, who maintains very high popularity ratings.”
Now, of course, it is correct, but it sure seems to point someone to a conclusion rather than just give the facts. For those interested, my own position is that the Democrats are evil opportunists who will take any position, no matter how harmful to Americans, as long as it leads to taxing the rich. And they think anyone who’s an assistant manager at McDonalds and up are rich. What we should do if we really want to help our nation in the war on terror is round up all Democrats, put them in a space ship, and launch it into the sun. I know, you’re all probably saying, “Hey, you stupid right-wing barbarian, why would we do something so hare-brained and expensive as that when we could just throw the Democrats into the nearest volcano to incinerate them. Think, you idiot!”
Well, here’s what I have to say to you liberal, soft-on-crime ninnies who want to just throw everyone in a volcano: Wake up, people! A punishment as quick and relatively painless as throwing someone into a volcano is not going to change things. These people need a long excruciating flight to the sun during which they can think about how wrong they are for being Democrats. That’s the only way to make them learn!
There will be no lasting peace or justice until Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom on the earth. Until He sets His foot on the Mount of Olives outside of Jerusalem, there will be mounting calamities, economic depression, earthquakes, pestilences, violence that spins out of countrol, wars and rumors of wars…..nation against nation and kingdoms against kingdoms……a great apostasy (or *falling away) of the Church…..namely, those who once did believe and follow the Lord…..who will turn and follow their own desires and end up being just as sinful and ungodly as the unbelievers…..All these things will happen up until the 7 year Tribulation that is about to come onto the Earth.
And that will be when God’s judgements will be poured out onto the earth, the Third World War will come to a head, and the Anti-Christ and the False Prophet will appear and take over the European Common Market nations and try to bring the whole world under the control of the evil Leader…who will become posessed by Satan himself.
But, after the Lord returns……Jesus will sit at the right hand of the Father and reign for 1,000 years. After that, there will be one final time when Satan will be let loose…..but after that, he, the Liar…the Father of all Lies from the beginning, when he deceived Adam and Eve….He will be thrown into the Lake of burning sulpher and Hell will be destoyed and thrown into the Lake also.
Then, God will make a New Heaven and a new Earth, and all things will be made new again. And then, as never before, there will be a rest from all these former things taking place. And the New Jerusalem will come out of the Sides of the North, down from Heaven, and God will place the City in Israel, its width and breadth and height will be immense……the length and width will measure over 1,500 miles in each direction.
And forever and ever, the Lord God will remain to rule here……people all over will be free to worship Him if they wish. And since He didn’t make people into Robots, some still will not wish to follow Him. But that will be their choice, but those who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb, the Holy One of Israel, they will be able to enter into the City with joy and thanksgiving and be able to drink of the water of Life………from the River that flows out from before the throne of God.
The Most High God holds out His arms to everyone, he wishes that nobody would perish, that all will come into the full knowledge of Him. Because God is righteous, and holy and also merciful and loving, because God is Love…….and He will be coming back very soon…….It’s almost the midnight hour….
He will come at a moment when it will not be expected. Who then will be the one waiting in good faith for Him to return.? Those who are faithful and wise are waiting.

Bonnie, you have to be kidding me. I understand religion, I was raised on the same stuff, but you don’t honestly think that your little “trying to convert people” blurb will actually work. You think one strange, unrelated, and evidentiary unsupported super paragraph will make anyone say, “HEY! For all the years of my life I was raised to not believe any of this, but somehow, reading it in a blog while trying to find humor on the net has made me feel complete and fulfilled!” Yeah….riiiiiiiiight. Do you wear a What Would Jesus Do bracelet too? Do you wear like Jesus rocks t-shirts or anything? Yeah….riiiiiiiiiight…
You never know what the seed of an idea might produce because God works in many wonderful and mysterious ways. He can touch people using any means necessary, even a seemingly out-of-the-blue statement such as that. I had forgotten I even left that message, it’s been so long now. And yes, I still subscribe to the Bible and what it says and what it says about Who Jesus is. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no man comes to the Father except through him. We all will have to enter through the narrow gate, if we are to enter into God’s presence.
