Perhaps you haven’t had a teenager yet. I was one, and I have to say they are practically impossible to control. It isn’t a statement about the parent, it is a statement of the hormonal imbalance of teens. So her daughter is pregnant. So what? And who’s to say she is a Republican like her mother?
I guess the only incantation needed to summon the obamorons is “Palin”. You don’t even have to repeat it three times.
There must be a lot of fear out there to evoke such a quick response.
I’m with Concerned Parent because with Obama as president I know that my kids will be well taken care of when they go on that school field to to Planned Parenthood for their secret abortions. It also warms my heart to know that if any of the abortions are botched and my grandchild accidently comes out alive those kind doctors can’t be sued for just leaving it in a closet to die. In the last couple days since the announcement of Sarah Palin as McCain’s VP pick, I’ve been spending more time at the various right wing blogs. I’ve come away with the conclusion that the majority of the left is abysmally stupid. And those cretins at Kos are even bigger douches.
Seriously, if someone spoke out loud the kind of crap they post at Kos, the most common reaction would be to take them in for a mental exam. Or maybe punch them in the face; one or the other.
Oh, as for relevance to this post: what brought on this rant was some of those morons claiming that they STILL think Palin faked her last pregnancy and was covering for her daughter. This despite the fact that said daughter is five months pregnant now, and her brother was born in April.
I know 5 year old children who understand why that’s not possible, and they have no idea where babies come from or what sex even is. Of course, I suppose the Kossacks have no knowledge about sex either.

You know what – I can’t even get angry anymore. These people have just snapped.
At first it was funny (and I guess it’s still funny), but we’re talking about a group of people who have absolutely lost it – I’ve been surfing the internet since college and I haven’t seen a group of liberals like this before. When McCain picked a woman, I think something genuinely exploded in their world view and they just lost it.

Ma’am: “Well, I can’t make up my mind. Part of me wants the baby when the fetus becomes viable in several days, and part of me wants to kill it. I don’ wanna be punished in any case.”

Amniotic fluid does leak sometimes, especially during the third trimester. Labor doesn’t always follow waters breaking, either, and sometimes labor has to be induced. Giving birth isn’t like it is in the movies.

In an attempt to turn the rabid conversation around (MSM/liberalblogs, etc. attacking Sarah and her family on personal issues) could we at least sanely discuss the teaching, BY THE GOVERNMENT, of sexuality? Should this be a government role? If yes, please provide proof that the teaching of how to have “safe” sex has REDUCED the number of out of wed lock pregnancies and STDs. If it is working (reducing pregnancy and STDs), then prove it – if it is not working then please explain why my tax dollars should continue to pay for it. AND, because I just can’t help myself, if anyone attacked my daughters in this manner and I had the capability to actually bring down a moose with a rifle, those attacking would very soon be very quiet. Way back in the early ’50’s there was a young couple just out of high school who announced to each of their parents that they had to get married immediately. No ifs or buts, it had to happen because — whoopsie. So they did, and the baby was born, and that was my uncle. If they had decided not to take responsibility for their actions they would not have likely gone on to have my dad, and ergo, I would not exist, and the Institute of Legitimate Wisdom would be even more nonexistent than it is now.
That said, while 17 is less than an ideal age, we are certainly not doing people any favors by structuring our education system in such a way as to expect everyone to get masters’ degrees before seriously considering starting a family. When people are forced to wait that long, now that our public high schools are practically rubbish as far as teaching the knowledge and skills necessary for independence and starting a family, they have to spend even longer either going to school or just figuring out what the hell they’re supposed to be doing, and they end up doing stupid things to cope with the fact that they’re still missing something that they can’t have yet.
I heard that one of Obama’s daughters refuses to pick up her toys and the other one – get this – acutally wet the bed. It’s clear that Barack Obama is unfit to become President, and should devote more time to keeping his family in line.

George Guy: Thanks for sharing. People need to hear those stories. About 40 years ago a young, mentally ill woman became pregnant. Her doctor told her parents she should have an abortion because the child would be “as sick as her” (she was bipolar). They flew her out of state to have the “procedure”. She got pregnant again and had another abortion. The third time, 36 years ago, her father put a stop to it after a pastor told him it was murder. She gave birth to a girl and gave her up for adoption. A year later she had another girl and she, too, went to a loving, adoptive family. That second girl was me. Now I may not have the wisdom you do (hee hee) but both my half-sis and I love God, country, and are moms of 3 each (me going on 4th.) Oh and neither one of us are “sick like her.”
BTW, I just read an article about the rest of your post – how throughout history people married younger and how today we’re not doing them any favors by expecting them to wait so long.
Not to mention the fact that Liberals are all for Government staying out of a woman’s body and right to choose…unless that woman happens to be a teen mother to a Republican candidate, who chooses Life.

Perhaps you haven’t had a teenager yet. I was one, and I have to say they are practically impossible to control. It isn’t a statement about the parent, it is a statement of the hormonal imbalance of teens. So her daughter is pregnant. So what? And who’s to say she is a Republican like her mother?
I guess the only incantation needed to summon the obamorons is “Palin”. You don’t even have to repeat it three times.
There must be a lot of fear out there to evoke such a quick response.
I’m with Concerned Parent because with Obama as president I know that my kids will be well taken care of when they go on that school field to to Planned Parenthood for their secret abortions. It also warms my heart to know that if any of the abortions are botched and my grandchild accidently comes out alive those kind doctors can’t be sued for just leaving it in a closet to die. In the last couple days since the announcement of Sarah Palin as McCain’s VP pick, I’ve been spending more time at the various right wing blogs. I’ve come away with the conclusion that the majority of the left is abysmally stupid. And those cretins at Kos are even bigger douches.

Oh, as for relevance to this post: what brought on this rant was some of those morons claiming that they STILL think Palin faked her last pregnancy and was covering for her daughter. This despite the fact that said daughter is five months pregnant now, and her brother was born in April.
I know 5 year old children who understand why that’s not possible, and they have no idea where babies come from or what sex even is. Of course, I suppose the Kossacks have no knowledge about sex either.

You know what – I can’t even get angry anymore. These people have just snapped.
At first it was funny (and I guess it’s still funny), but we’re talking about a group of people who have absolutely lost it – I’ve been surfing the internet since college and I haven’t seen a group of liberals like this before. When McCain picked a woman, I think something genuinely exploded in their world view and they just lost it.
I’m thinking I might move to Alaska. I mean, if she and John lose, how many soverign states are left willing to defend themselves against Barack Obama’s chaos and dictatorial onslaught? In an attempt to turn the rabid conversation around (MSM/liberalblogs, etc. attacking Sarah and her family on personal issues) could we at least sanely discuss the teaching, BY THE GOVERNMENT, of sexuality? Should this be a government role? If yes, please provide proof that the teaching of how to have “safe” sex has REDUCED the number of out of wed lock pregnancies and STDs. If it is working (reducing pregnancy and STDs), then prove it – if it is not working then please explain why my tax dollars should continue to pay for it. AND, because I just can’t help myself, if anyone attacked my daughters in this manner and I had the capability to actually bring down a moose with a rifle, those attacking would very soon be very quiet. Way back in the early ’50’s there was a young couple just out of high school who announced to each of their parents that they had to get married immediately. No ifs or buts, it had to happen because — whoopsie. So they did, and the baby was born, and that was my uncle. If they had decided not to take responsibility for their actions they would not have likely gone on to have my dad, and ergo, I would not exist, and the Institute of Legitimate Wisdom would be even more nonexistent than it is now.
That said, while 17 is less than an ideal age, we are certainly not doing people any favors by structuring our education system in such a way as to expect everyone to get masters’ degrees before seriously considering starting a family. When people are forced to wait that long, now that our public high schools are practically rubbish as far as teaching the knowledge and skills necessary for independence and starting a family, they have to spend even longer either going to school or just figuring out what the hell they’re supposed to be doing, and they end up doing stupid things to cope with the fact that they’re still missing something that they can’t have yet.

George Guy: Thanks for sharing. People need to hear those stories. About 40 years ago a young, mentally ill woman became pregnant. Her doctor told her parents she should have an abortion because the child would be “as sick as her” (she was bipolar). They flew her out of state to have the “procedure”. She got pregnant again and had another abortion. The third time, 36 years ago, her father put a stop to it after a pastor told him it was murder. She gave birth to a girl and gave her up for adoption. A year later she had another girl and she, too, went to a loving, adoptive family. That second girl was me. Now I may not have the wisdom you do (hee hee) but both my half-sis and I love God, country, and are moms of 3 each (me going on 4th.) Oh and neither one of us are “sick like her.”
BTW, I just read an article about the rest of your post – how throughout history people married younger and how today we’re not doing them any favors by expecting them to wait so long.
Not to mention the fact that Liberals are all for Government staying out of a woman’s body and right to choose…unless that woman happens to be a teen mother to a Republican candidate, who chooses Life.

It’s structured, wrapped up in traditions and social and religious obligations that protect the families involved from the darker aspects of human nature.
