Mistaken

Tony Blankely is arguing in a grammatically correct fashion, “Obama lied; the economy died.” He says the difference between that statement and the “Bush lied, people died” is that while Bush never lied and was only mistaken, Obama actually lied when he said, “As soon as I took office, I asked this Congress to send me a recovery plan by President’s Day that would put people back to work and put money in their pockets. Not because I believe in bigger government – I don’t.” I think Blankley might be being partisan and unfair, though. Maybe Obama was also mistaken. Maybe he really didn’t believe in bigger government when he said that, but right after someone explained to him, “Big government means you take more of people’s money and have more control over everything,” and Obama was like, “Oh… well I do like that. I guess I do believe in bigger government. Let’s make that happen right now!” When we automatically think the worst of people, it doesn’t make for good political arguments, so let’s cut Obama some slack.

  1. Ok, so we all know that Mr. Fred Thompson reads your blog. So when does Mr. Fred Thompson get mad and march to Washington DC and walk into the White House and turn Barry over his knee for being a retarded President of The United States? We all know that Mr. Fred Thompson shall not just go about using his most massive awesomeness for no reason but we are about to the point where it is time he does something, aren’t we?
