Economy Destroyer

Man, Obama is really trying to destroy the economy quickly. He’s not even done with his first one hundred days, and already a lot of the moderates who drank the Obama Kool-Aid are starting to wake up and realize Obama is an idiot on the economy. I didn’t even expect him to do this poorly coming out of the gate.

I think it’s a strategy.

What if Obama completely decimates the country right away? Then in 2010 pretty much no Democrat will be reelected and there will be huge boost for Republicans. Then they will prevent Obama from doing any further damage, and the economy, which will be so awful it can only improve, will start getting significantly better before 2012. And then Obama will ride the good feelings into an easy reelection.

It’s a good strategy. The last thing Obama needs is for the economy to slowly fail so that he’s still getting blamed in 2012, so he might as well wreck it now. If you look at things from that perspective, Obama is a pretty smart guy and knows exactly what he’s doing.

  1. Have you seen my cool new hat? It used to have one of those mop thingies in it, but the Secret Service emptied the soapy water out of it when they were done cleaning up after that accident in the Blue Room. I especially like the sound of the ocean you can hear in it.

  2. We have a secret weapon, however that Barry doesn’t know about! Michael Steele is out as we speak securing the Hip/Hop and One Arm Midget vote which I am confident shall devastate any and all plans that the democrats have! Not even Mr. Fred Thompson in all his brilliance could adapt quickly enough to overcome such a fiendish scheme! Muwhahahahah!

  3. If obama turns out to be a one termer like his previous worst dem president evah, jimmah catah. How will the democratic/socialist party ever get this monkey, oops, prehensile tailed simian off their back?

  4. The Dow is up at the moment, but I’d like to make some cake by shorting before it goes back down big time. Does anyone know when Obama’s next policy speech is going to be? Cuz as far as I can tell, every time he says something about his policies the market pukes.

  5. I think you attribute too much to Mr Obummer. And you are too optimistic. I will repeat because of your analysis and thought patterns you are on the order of 30 years old. I do not even have to check who the author is because I recognize your thinking patterns. Thus you do not remember the 70’s. Study the economic history of the 70’s. Whilst things can get better after clearing out the retards from congress that does not mean they will get good. That is like saying

“I really like my friend X. He is much nicer than Charlie Mansion”

Its really good that your friend is nicer than Charlie but its just not saying much. The problem is during the 70’s we lived the result of FDR and LBJ ( the long BJ ) combined. What resulted was several recessions that were interlaced with periods of “nonrecession”. But nonrecession is not very impressive. The USA today is accustomed to the booms of the 90’s and 2000’s. Let me inform you. The 90’s were exciting and interesting. The 70’s were dull and lackluster. Remember the AMC Pacer ???? Ford Pinto ???? Gerald Ford ??? Jimmy Carter ??? With Obama roiling the markets like he has with his spendapalooza if there was any chance of a recovery by the end of the year that is shot now. I doubt any time in 2010 now also. Going on historical “feel” I suspect economic recovery may only begin in 2011 IF we are lucky. That leaves 1 year. Using the most optimistic hiring projects for 1 year and I don’t think he has enough to get reelected.

Thus it is very very very important that “We don’t get McCained again! ” …. that is to say get a real candidate that is a real conservative and not some threadbare wooden cigar store indian of a senator. Unfortunately Rush Limbaugh has declined but someone of his caliber would be nice. ( and I do not think its Romney…he’s changed his stripes too many times. I am afraid he would fold like a house of cards just like Bush did on the critical spending issues )

  6. Truth is often stranger than fiction. Remember that Richard Dailey in Chicago (the current one) – once re-elected, bulldozed Meigs Field in the middle of the night with funds the FAA gave him to FIX the airport, not destroy it. The city paid huge fines for that one, and was already in financial trouble, so for some strange reason A) the budget was a big topic on the local news for a few years and B) no one made the connection with the huge fines.

So why do it right after being re-elected? Because liberal democrats have notoriously short memories. They’ll think Northerly Island was always a park and look forward to the Chicago Olympics where they bulldoze it yet a third time to keep the labor unions happy. When even the Sun Times is investigating Roland Burris (and the Sun Times is a completely in the tank southside liberal tabloid written for people with a 5th grade reading level), you KNOW things are finally falling apart for the Chicago Machine, PR-wise. Apart from that whole taking over the White House business. Oddly enough, the Dailey plan may have worked without Blaggo screwing it up for them.

  7. Oh crap, sorry damncat I slipped on the M-word, my appologies.
badandy; the dow is up because, believe it or not, someone has put Sarah Palins red shoes on ebay. That’s my guess anyway.

  8. So if you absolutely are sure Obama’s plan is the wrong direction for the country than you must have the answer. In order to know something is wrong you would need to know what is right. SO tell us….in detail….what should the government do to correct this downturn in the economy.

[Actually, not doing something is an answer. Such as, not trillions more in spending and no raising taxes. That might not be the optimal plan by itself, but it would certainly work better than what’s proposed. -Ed.]

  9. I’m pretty sympathetic to the concept of conservatism, but I think you guys may be dumping on Mr. O a bit too much.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the country was about 10 T in debt before Mr. O came along right? and he’s adding 1 or 2 T’s.

Well okay – it may be a dumb idea but it’s not like he invented the concept of borrow and spend.
    It’s what we do.

  10. THE OBAMA knows exactly what he is doing , First destroy the economy, Second nationalize all major industry, Third turn over power to the UN. But General Limbaugh will lead the constitutionalist conservatives to victory over the power hungry comunists(Obama administration)

  11. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the country was about 10 T in debt before Mr. O came along right? and he’s adding 1 or 2 T’s

but banks weren’t failing then…….& carter’s community reinvestment act hasn’t MATURED into this subprime mess yet

  12. He’s a lot smarter than I gave him credit for; and I’d say that’s the long-term effect of the Croter-Piven strategy anyway. Carter didn’t work quickly enough, and he ended up with four years of a slow burn (with no midterm rescue) – so he got walloped with the Reagan Renaissance. Clinton tried to do it quickly and ended up with Gingrich, whose efforts worked so well Clinton eventually took credit for them and got reelected. Obama isn’t dumb; he knows how to do his crash and burn NOW (planned crisis – overload the bureaucracy with impossible demands to bring down the free market) and if the people wise up in two years, he’s golden for two years later, when he can take credit for any recovery.

IF that doesn’t happen, he can continue with the shattered economy to push for things that are like martial law, and abolishing his term limit, or just declaring himself leader forever on an emergency basis or something, and never have to leave office anyway. Either way it works.

  13. I have dozens of good ideas for fixing the economy and ensuring that our representatives are responsible and accountable with all aspects of the people’s business. Unfortunately they all begin, “After the revolution, we oughta ….”.

  14. 5 of 7, I’ll be needing details on the revolution. Gotta do the networking, organize the fighting units, train, etc. So the sooner you can get your game plan to me, the better. 🙂

In all honesty, with every new report on something new Obama, or even our new Governor Jan Brewer, is doing, I get closer to the brink of starting an armed revolution. I love the Stars and Stripes, but I’m really close to adopting the “Don’t Tread on Me” flag as my new Standard.

Our nation is being dismantled, OVERTLY and quickly, and no one seems to care enough. I mean, there are still new Episodes of House on TV after all. I suppose they’ll just have to participate in armed revolt when the shows start in on the reruns.

  15. #16 …. you ignore the velocity of the increase of debt. We tick along at a nice steady 200 billion deficit per year and everyone is happy at least in the predictability. The President Idiot Obama comes along and does 4X -6X this at 1.2 trillion. Its not a safe proposition. Hell the 200 – 400 billion a year was not a safe proposition but at least people and markets were accustomed to it.

Conclusion? Even normal everyday Joes with nary a mathematical bone in their bodies sense that going 4 to 7X on the deficit spending is indicative of a change so abrupt as to roil the markets and people with those said mathematical bones know its going to be a HUGE drag on business.

  17. I’m Officially opposed to armed insurrection, uprising or political overthrow, and will not aid, support, participate in or condone such actions. Officially.
What I meant was; it always seems the only way to impliment commonsense solutions to ingrained problems like government corruption involves (at some point) a large number of people being forced against a wall somewhere. No doubt there are arm-chair generals on the left who felt the same frustration during the Good Old Days of the Reagan administration.

I read today that another 5 states are planning 10th ammendment challenges to the provisions in the Porkulus bill. When my state calls for volunteers for the active militia to repell invading Federal troops – I may reconcider my Official policy. Until then I watch, pray, do what I can, save what I’m able, and prepare for a long siege. (And visit IMAO to keep my spirits up!)
