Restoring “Sanity”! Through Crime?

Steven Crowder has a special video out (on a Monday? That’s insane!) after having attended Jon Stewart’s rally.

Watch him get attacked:

Maybe Jon Stewart should have been less concerned with insanity and more with stupidity form his own fans.

Also, read Greg Gutfeld’s great essay on how it was more a rally to ignore insanity.

UPDATE:

And here’s another good one. “Obama is not a Keynesian! He was born in Hawaii!”

Even Democrats Want to Get Rid of Obama?

So, while most of the country now hates Obama and think he’s stupid, Democrats still support him, right? Nope; 47% of Democrats want a primary challenger to Obama in 2012. So even within the Democrats they’re pretty cognizant of the fact that he sucks and has ruined everything. But who would they replace Obama with? I’m guessing Hilary might have an opinion on that. She’s probably standing there waiting to behead Obama and take his power Highlander style.

You almost have to feel sorry for Obama at this point. He obviously has no idea what he’s doing and just isn’t cut out to be president. It doesn’t seem very constructive to kick him out without also trying to find some occupation he would excel at. I’m thinking he could be a news anchor. All he has to do is look important and read a teleprompter in front of cameras. Dude could totally nail that.

What job would you suggest for Obama?

Know Thy Enemy: Suspicious Packages

We may be all focused on election issues right now, but beyond silly politics we have to remember the important fact that there are still people out there who want Americans dead. To highlight that point, bombs were mailed out Friday. They were stopped, but what if they had been delivered? Then citizens would have to be dealing with suspicious packages on their own. To help with that, I had my crack research staff find out all they could about suspicious packages so everyone can be more prepared in the future.

FUN FACTS ABOUT SUSPICIOUS PACKAGES

* Suspicious packages date all the way back to ancient times with enemies would mail each other saber-toothed tigers.

* Just remember, the package is even more suspicious of you.

* Don’t be suspicious of a package just because it’s in a dark box. That’s racist.

* Just because the package contains a bomb doesn’t mean it’s suspicious. Check your Amazon account to make sure you didn’t order a bomb while you were drunk.

* Don’t rush to open a suspicious package just because it says, “Free Candy!” on the outside. Then again, don’t wait too long because it might be a type of candy that could spoil.

* If you have a suspicious package, call the police and have them open it. You can also do that if you have a normal looking package that you’re just too lazy to open.

* If you hear a ticking sound coming from a suspicious package, open it immediately because Cogsworth could be trapped inside!

* If the package is from Yemen and doesn’t contain a bomb, that’s actually pretty suspicious.

* Shake any package you receive really really hard before opening to subdue any angry squirrels that might be packed inside.

* Be suspicious of any package with wires sticking out of it… unless you ordered a bunch of wires from Radio Shack. In that case, you’re the weirdo to be suspicious of.

* In battle between Aquaman and a suspicious package, Aquaman knows to be suspicious of any package since he doesn’t really have any friends who send him anything and the only packages he ever receives are traps from Black Manta. Then again, this latest package says, “Free Candy!” on it…

* Be suspicious of any package with white powder on it. Try tasting the powder; if it tastes sweet, it’s okay. If it tastes anthraxy, that could be trouble.

* If you’re mailing a package that you accidentally made suspicious looking, write, “Not a bomb!” on the outside to help out the recipient.

* Even if a suspicious package has a bomb in it, if it was sent cross country by UPS it’s most likely too smashed up to be operative.

Election Eve

Getting nervous.

I think it’s all the positive predictions. Every single poll says big Republican takeover. Gallup has a 15 point advantage for Republicans among like voters which is unprecedented. With everyone predicting a big Republican wave, it’s just feels like we’re getting buttered up to have the rug pulled from under us. At least the extremely liberal Newsweek is actually predicting an advantage among Democrats right now (“Democrats are going to do awesome you stupid Rethuglicans!”) which makes me feel somewhat better. It just doesn’t seem right to be posed for a huge win without lefties sneering about how we’re going to lose.

Still, has anyone considered the possibility we won’t take the House back? And anything short of that can certainly be considered a victory for the Democrats. What would we do then? Democrats had screwed up as much as possible, spent as much as possible, and been at their arrogant worst and we still couldn’t get rid of them? Wouldn’t that mean it’s pretty much over for this country? The only thing left for conservatives would be to make some new Heinleinian nation on the moon or something. Freedomtopia or something. Or maybe Don’t-Touch-My-Stuff-istan. It would not be fun to flee the earth, but then again no one will pester you about Earth Day.

So I hope we do well. In fact, I hope it’s like an extinction level event for Democrats and they are now done forever for being so awful. Yes, the Republicans are screw ups too, but I think we can manage them better.

So remember to vote tomorrow… unless you’re planning to vote Democrat. Then remember tomorrow to finally satisfy your curiosity on whether your head will fit in a bucket. Nothing bad will happen, I promise!

Random Thoughts

Why does everyone want to blow up the US? What did we ever do except be awesome?

We sure this bomb scare isn’t just HP cracking down on someone trying to refill their printer cartridge?

You think this Al Qaeda attack will distract people from the threat of Glenn Beck?

Maybe Al Qaeda is just planning to join Colbert’s “Keep Fear Alive” rally.

If O’Donnell somehow did win in Delaware, that would be pretty funny.

For the record, I don’t think there is such a thing as someone dangerously unqualified to vote yes or no on stuff.

They hate us for our Chicago Jews.

White people marching on D.C. talking about “restoring sanity”? This isn’t a prelude to ethnic cleansing, is it?

So did anyone figure out what the point of Jon Stewart’s rally was before they threw it?

People need to get over this Islamic terrorism thing. A radical Muslim hasn’t tried to blow anything up since yesterday.

Here’s the irony: The Beck rally actually stood for something. The Stewart rally is full of people not sure what they’re angry at.

Don’t ask me what the Beck rally stood for.

This rally might be the death knell of irony. Maybe society will move back to pun-based humor after this.

Aiee! I just found out the Rally for Sanity was really a plot by the Joker! How could we have been so blind?

Yay, another Saturday of college football where I root for all undefeated teams other than BSU to lose.

Wearing neat baby carrier work got me. Has hood so I can eat corn chips without getting crumbs on Buttercup.

So both the McRib and the new Goldeneye game come out Nov. 2nd. Does sounds like a Rovian plot to suppress youth vote.

Looks like Goldeneye will be an upgrade of graphics, controls, and Bond (Daniel Craig instead of Pierce Brosnan).

A moderate is a fringe left-winger who doesn’t scream angrily at the right all the time.

So basically Zach Galifianakis could just one day shave his beard and fade back into obscurity.

November 2nd will be “The Election to Restore Sanity.” Also, it will be the election to keep fear alive in liberals.

If the GOP doesn’t win on the 2nd, that’s pretty much it for the country and we should focus on making a Heinleinian society on the moon.

Is Nate Silver basically one of the best things ever about the New York Times?

As much as Obama sucks, I really have trouble believing that 47% of Democrats want him challenged in a primary. Maybe some just like primary challenges in principle and still expect Obama to easily win.

So basically the Gallup model says take some pictures of Democrats so you can one day tell your kids about them.

Still, hoping for 50 in the House as a big victory and no expectations for Senate other than Reid is gone.

All these favorable polls for the GOP are creeping me out. Would feel better with more lefties sneering about how we’re going to lose.

Don’t forget your towel!

Did you see that NASA is planning to send a ship on a one-way trip to another planet?

According to news reports, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is funding a NASA project to send some people on a one-way trip:

In a talk at San Francisco’s Long Conversation conference, Simon “Pete” Worden said DARPA has $1M to spend, plus another $100,000 from NASA itself, for the program, which will initially develop a new kind of propulsion engine that will take us to Mars or beyond.

There’s only one problem: The astronauts won’t come back.

The 100-year ship would leave Earth with the intention of colonizing a planet, but it would likely be a one-way trip because of the time it takes to travel 35 million miles

Who would make the trip?

  • hairdressers
  • tired TV producers
  • insurance salesmen
  • personnel officers
  • security guards
  • public relations executives
  • management consultants
  • telephone sanitizers

Well, actually, I’m not sure about that list. That may be a list from somewhere else entirely.

But, as long as NASA is sending a ship on a one-way trip, why not use that list? Or something like it? Why not turn the 100-Year Starship into a B-Ark and include the useless third of society? I think we could include:

  • Democrats
  • MSNBC anchors
  • daytime TV talk show hosts
  • moderates
  • liberals
  • bloggers
  • community organizers

Any other suggestions?
