  1. Cool! I liked the ‘luminous grid look’ of the lighted roadways in the closer up city shots.
It would be an easy way for a city engineer to check for bad bulbs. Though on a nightly basis it wouldn’t be cheap. But what the hey, it’s not their money! And it sure would be easier … and efficient … every bad bulb would be changed the next day … IF, the Union wants to work that day.

  2. Tell me we didn’t leave some lights on the Moon that we can also light up! We spent all that money, effort and time and we didn’t build a nuclear reactor so that we could power a gob of lights from the moon…I mean…h-e-l-l-o-w!!! The moon should light up like a star during this protest so that it would look like the Sun and nobody would be able to sleep…and we could point to that and say, yup…we did that because the Moon is a Christian Moon owned by America and what are you going to do about it!!! And that would be so super awesome American’s would break out with God Bless America all over the land!!! The ACLU would file 300 million suits against us but that would take some time to work their way through the courts…I’d be willing to go first, by the way!!!

  3. I’m willing to bet that a huge drop in demand and then a huge surge when all the do gooders finish their offering to the God of Global Warming Climate Change causes the power plants to use even moooooore energy.
    More poluuuuuuuuuution for sure:
But the new report concludes that emissions levels at some coal and natural-gas power plants have increased because they’re throttled up and down to accommodate the fickle nature of renewable energy — particularly the wind, according to the Independent Petroleum Association of the Mountain States (IPAMS), which paid for the report, and Evergreen’s Bentek Energy Inc., which prepared it.

The study found that power output by coal-fired power plants fluctuated as much as 20 percent hour to hour, said Porter Bennett, Bentek president.

The impact on emissions, according to the study, are higher levels ranging between 2 million or 3 million pounds of SOx and NOx, to as much as 10 million pounds of increased emissions, when a power plant is throttled up, Bennett said.

“It’s like running your car in fifth gear, and then slowing to five miles per hour and then trying to speed back up again,” said Marc Smith, executive director of IPAMS. “Coal plants are meant to run only in fifth gear.”

    When liberals lie, people DIE!

  4. What the heck is up with the ominous music in the video? Would these dolts like to see satellite images of New York and London cloaked in darkness? It is at times like these that I must quote the great General George Washington as he faced the British. Said Washington, “Bite me!”

  5. Shoot and we are in the middle of a burn ban. I got a huge old pile of construction debris and tree roots. Tree roots burn for days. I always like to start my fires with a tractor tire, fire marshal told me that was a federal offense last time he caught me. I think he might be a commie except he didn’t give me a ticket. Smoke em if you got em boys.

  6. I turned on everything I could find. I even plugged in my Kindle for a recharge, which didn’t show from outer space but I was hoping to get the dial that spins with my electrical usage to get going until it was glowing red hot! That would be visible. Don’t know if I was successful but my neighbors must think I’m like teh ghey or something…

  7. Imagine how much energy could be saved and carbon monoxide averted by just turning off Obama’s microphone and teleprompter for one year…not to mention the trillions of dollars in tax dollars that could be saved.
