Someone can only make you feel inferior with your consent. Many people have lived under all sorts of horrible governments. They simply bided their time and then struck the head off the snake. We will do the same for the government. (it’s a metaphor, NSA, IRS, FBI, CIA and Facebook gods, not a threat) Just a statement of fact.
Well, yeah that is the definition of “inalienable”…that which cannot be given or taken away!!!

Jefferson made it very clear that government cannot GIVE or TAKE AWAY these rights.
The real question is why liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Aren’t those really two names for the same thing??? If only Jefferson had kept it the original way: “life, liberty, and property….”
Your rights derive from the Supreme Creator that made you and endowed you with free will.
Government would be happier if you were just an emmotionless automaton that did what
you were told.
The potential problem here is that the Left seeks to destroy the Creator who endowed us with these rights and replace him with the Government as God. And since this God is more than happy to play God what rights he will bestow will be for him to decide. We are so screwed.
Apparently (at least in the play 1776) John Adams and Jefferson had that same argument. Unalienable or inalienable………Jefferson won (but Adams said he’d speak to the printer)
