[High Praise! to Les of Nuking Politics]
I can do some simple math. Let’s be generous, and put the number of people who have managed to win the Obamacare lottery and get a nice, shiny, overpriced policy at 10,000 in the past week. The number of Americans without health insurance is estimated to be about 48 million. At this rate, how long would it take to get everybody
subjugatedsigned up?48,000,000 ÷ 10,000 = 4,800 weeks, or 92 years.
And wanting to delay its implementation by one year is an appalling transgression of the law of the land, equivalent to hostage taking and stomping baby ducks?

It’s even worse than terrorism. It’s like blending puppies and microwaving cats.
Aaaah, but in 92 years they will all be dead! Mwah ah ah!
(Hmm — something still seems wrong here.)
of course that’s missing entirely the fact that most of those 48 million people that obamacare was supposedly written for are EXEMPT from it. If you’re an illegal or poor you’re exempt.
Furthermore the “affordable” plans that these people would likely opt for have such high deductibles and copays that people who can’t afford the more expensive plans couldn’t afford to use them anyway.
What good is a $100 a month plan with a $15000 deductible, 80% coverage and a $50 copay to someone who can’t afford the $15000 before the plan even kicks in?
@4 – as a catastrophic policy, that doesn’t sound too bad. Once my Obamacare fine exceeds $1200 a year (I think that’s in 2016), I may sign up for that.
