The proper handshake you give a Commie is with both hands making a very firm grip around his neck.
I never really got how a “selfie” is different than taking a picture of yourself which I thought people have been doing forever.
Two digit temperatures are the best. Whenever the temperature is one digit or three digits, it’s never pleasant.
Wasn’t concerned with the handshake, but the way Obama winked at Raul Castro after giving him his hotel key was kind of weird.
It was a little disrespectful when Obama shouted out “Boring!” during the eulogy, but we’ve all done that.
A lot of what Obama is doing is just because he’s filming a reality show for MTV and the producers keep asking for more conflict.
Would be nice if all future deep space probes we send out there are able to do selfies.
What should have Obama done to Castro? Pile drive him into nearest table? Of course, but Obama was too much of a sissy.
Obama’s eulogy for Mandela used “I” and “me” 57,603 times and he didn’t mention Mandela once.
What if Hitler were at the funeral and offered his hand? Remember: You can’t kill him, because that always makes the future worse somehow.
“The Grinch Who Said Happy Holidays”
Season 4 of Breaking Bad started slow, but it’s picking up. “I am the one who knocks!”
There were only 3 communists in the room and one of them was dead, who else’s hand was he supposed to shake?
I’m sorry, but -99 is two digits, and so is 10. Maybe you meant to say “a positive number of two digits greater than, oh 60?” Wow. Once I said that it sounded really geeky. Forget it. I keep forgetting that you are a professional writer and know what you are doing. There is no way I can improve on what you have written.
LLC.
the handshake was one thing, but did he have to say how much he admired his brothers work?
Bacon to NoMoBama!
@2: I was going to say something about that, but refrained since Frank is an electrical engineer. Electrical engineers can’t even get the sign of the electron correct.
Gotta disagree with your assessment of season four of Breaking Bad. It started great (Box Cutter) and got better (larger role for Mike) up to its explosive ending … and the surprise in the epilogue.
Of course, I’m waiting to see what you’re going to do when you get to S5 Ep 8, and discover that Eps 9-16 aren’t on Netflix yet.
@6 They’re on the internet somewhere. That’s how I watched them.
Yeah, since I don’t have the cable, I bought them from teh Amazon. I recently started watching them all again. Gives it a different perspective.
@8 – Not sure I’d watch the series again. There were a lot of REALLY boring parts where I was ready to give up on the series and only hung in because I wanted the closure.
Glad I made it through once, though.
Basil,
Originally I was watching a part of one episode each morning when I work out and figured by the time I got through them all they’d add the last few episodes on Netflix, but I’ve gotten so into them I’m actually watching them instead of playing video games when I have free time and will probably reach the end before the new year. May just buy last eight from Amazon streaming. They deserve my money.
Harvey:
I never once got bored. I kinda didn’t like Skyler, but on the rewatch, I do like her character. And of course, love Saul and Huell. And Mike. I really liked Mike. And Skinny Pete and Badger grew on me. And…
Okay, that enough. I’m started to annoy myself.
Basil,
One thing I knew going in was that everybody hated Skyler, but I’ve mainly found her very sympathetic.
@11 – Ah… I see you’ve already completely repressed the episode “Fly” 🙂
Anyway, I stick with this description of most episodes, as fair warning to all considering watching:
Nothing happens, nothing happens, nothing happens, EVERYTHING happens.
Harvey:
I loved Fly. Walt’s breakdown as Jesse watched was wonderful.
Let me offer a different summary: heh, heh, heh, ZOMG!!1!!
Harvey,
I agree with Basil on fly, but I guess I have more tolerance for a slower episode when I don’t have to wait a week for the next one.
