President Obama urged the United Nations to pass a sweeping new resolution that would impose global travel bans on fighters intent on enlisting in overseas wars.

And if that doesn’t work, we can always just slap up some “soldier-free zone” signs.

  1. So, if I were young and brave and full of vinegar enough to go fight along side the Kurds, he would want to stop me? There was a post about this on Blackfive a month or so back, or so it seemed to me–here is a follow up post to that initial Blackfive post: http://www.blackfive.net/main/2014/08/here-i-am-send-me.html, and it’s from August. The historical precedents would include the Lafayette Escadrille, the Eagle Squadron, and probably some American Communist volunteers during the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s.
