Students at the University of California Irvine voted to remove an American flag in their lobby, fearing it might “trigger” illegals to feel offended.
So… we don’t actually need a border fence, just flagpoles?

“!Ay Carumba! Run, Pedro! A ninja-star-spangled banner!”
Where do students get the idea that they have the power to vote on stuff like this?
I have a much simpler solution, if our flag offennnnnnnnnnnds you, stay where you’re sure not to see it.
Now, if the Mexican flag ofennnnnnnnnnds ME, I have a right to have it removed too…RIGHT?
Oh that’s right, we live in the land of unequal protection.
How about putting a flag on EBT cards and welfare checks? I bet they would find a way to handle that.
“Oh say can U. C.
Buy the dunces’ girly “right”?
Which so proudly they inhaled
At Twilight’s last streaming . . .”
Not that the illegals will be offended, but the students fear they might be. That offends me.
Good response to ‘triggers’
Hmmm, maybe the government (when we get a REAL one, not the current administration) could cut off all federal funding to UC Irvine and let them pay the tuition rise…
Flag attacks, while rare in the wild, are not uncommon in urban and educational environments. Removed from their natural habits of roaming freely on the fruited plains and purple mountain majesty flags have been to known act in irrational and aggressive fashion with people unfamiliar with their care and feeding. Approached with caution and deference these generally harmless creatures often respond with kindness and gratitude but can sense anger, animosity and feigned respect which often triggers a classic fight and bite response against their mis-handlers. Those unfamiliar with proper flag etiquette like illegal aliens and liberals, should avoid contact and keep a respectful distance at all times to avoid injury.
