The most awkward moment during Obama’s speech at the Selma 50th anniversary Civil Rights March…
…when CNN’s drone chased Michelle into the creek.
…when W called in the Rumsfeld Strangler and his dog Chomps.
…when the Super Dooper Alabama State Troopers wouldn’t let anybody cross the bridge.
… was when he tried to reenact the nailing of the 95 theses to the church door.
… was when he referred to Selma joining up with Tony Orlando and Dawn.
… was afterward when Obama fired up his Segway and rode off into the sunset.
…was when he opened his mouth.
…was when his inflated rhetoric about Ferguson caused Craig to flee the country.
…was that shout out to Jay-Z…
The Most Awkward Moment During Obama’s Speech at the Selma 50th Anniversary Civil Rights March…
when someone asked if they could “Play through”.
when Obama declared the march motivated his father to have him.
Oh we could chose one, but where is the fun in that?
.. was the singing of “We Shall Overcompensate.”
…was his reference to “Imam Martin Luther King”.
…was making it with a banjo on his knee.
…was the part where he let slip that his mom was was not African-American and neither was his dad.
…was the line “Like Dr. King, I hope that one day whitey will stop judging people by the color of their skin.”
…was when he blamed Bush for being there.
Was when he started singing:
“There was a country had a KING, and OBAMA was his name-oh…. O-B-A-M-A, O-B-A-M-A, O-B-A-M-A and OBAMA was his name-oh”
You know you want to sing it…. again….. and now that tune will be stuck in your head all day…….
(I’m gonna get this in here somewhere…. (-; )
… was when Oprah said she wanted to do one more take, and Obama said “Funny, that’s always been my mantra, too.”
“If you like your Selma, you can keep your Selma.”
“Counting Selma, I’ve now been to 57 cities . . .”
“Hillary still ain’t no ways t-a-a-r-r-r-r-e-e-d. Or feathered.”
“I didn’t know anything about today’s march until I read it in the papers.”
– Was when Biden stood behind him, with hands on both shoulders and whispered into his ears “This is a big F**kin’ deal”.
– Was when the bus from the OU Frat showed up.
– Was when he referred to it as the 57th anniversary.
– Was when Al Sharpton passed the collection plate.
– Was when everyone looked at George W. as the speaker introduced The President of the United States.
– Was when everyone realized that the speaker meant Obama.
The most
awkward moment duringridiculous lie told at Obama’s speech at the Selma 50th anniversary Civil Rights March was that “slaves built the white house”.WHATTT? So let me see if I have this straight, people barely intelligent enough to pick cotton were brought to Washington to “build the white house”?? The people who DID build the white house and thousands of other buildings built around that time were some of the finest craftsmen that ever lived and back then, they some of the highest paid people in America. They sure as f*&k weren’t “slaves”. I’ve worded on houses they built, MANY of them are still standing 250 years later and that’s right up there with his crap about Muslims being a part of this country since the beginning. This guy really needs to be…….
*worked
…was when Biden was picked up by a live mike saying, “I thought Patty was the gay sister, wasn’t Selma briefly married to Sideshow Bob?”
Millionaire Obama holding hands with all those poor people
@16 – Virginia and Maryland were both slave states, so it’s not like they had to look too far for slaves.
Anyway, this fairly thoughtful article from 2009 goes over it pretty well:
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/jan/19/nancy-pelosi/legend-slaves-building-capitol-correct/
Basically, yes, some slaves, but they weren’t the bulk of the work force, and they didn’t do the skilled labor.
