[High Praise! to Hot Air]
There’s several links of background to this story that are giggle-worthy (all of which can be found here), and I encourage your perusal.
An over-brief summary (just enough to enjoy the song), is that a not-liberal-enough feminist came to the Oberlin College campus and said some things in defense of men, and the way-too-liberal feminists on campus reacted like she had just napalmed the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm.
Thus inspiring this song – which implies that it’s from the Oberlin College Choir, but is probably just by a random (and clever) satirist.

The comments on the “love letter” in the Oberlin Review are great. Regarding one of the undersigned organizations, the “Preying Manti” (Women’s Ultimate Team), the first commenter writes, “Doesn’t ‘Preying Manti’ seem a bit triggering?”
Such an “empowering” symbol might serve as as fitting a mascot for the college as its actual one, the albino squirrel
@1 – Not as triggering as if they’d spelled it right and gone with “Praying Manti” (and that should actually be “Mantises”)
Liberal kids won’t watch that.
@Harvey – Academic leaders in Frisbee, Social Justice, and Creative Spelling.
my brother would call colleges and universities incubators and holding pens. He was absolutely right and it still holds…
