Dang! Forgot to Check History!

A University of Florida Art Professor punished students who used the term “melting pot” because the term “signals a Euro-White Colonial standard”

Which is especially giggle-worthy since Florida was originally a Spanish colony.

  1. Florida was once a colony of Spain and as anyone who reads the NY Times knows, Zimmerman was a “White Hispanic.” White Hispanics from Spain were probably some kind of Euro-White Colonial’s of some sort…yep, the professor is right and it’s all starting to add up now.

  2. The real question is why even bother teaching “Art” if there are no standards to which students must strive. After all, “Art” is such a personal matter, how can it be taught? Nope, I think the UoF should save itself some money and close down the “Arts” department as culturally and intellectually unnecessary and obviously a by-product of a European White Colonial hegemony.

Side question. Are standards by whites who aren’t European permissible? Inquiring minds want to know.
