Why do I choose to live in Alaska? My friends and relatives in California are always asking me that question. Well, here is a video of some of the sights to be seen while taking the train from Anchorage to Seward that I hope will in some way answer that question, especially in the winter. This is a trip I have made several times and have never been disappointed at the sights to be seen. While this video was not taken by me it is certainly indicative of the main reason I choose to live here. So lets take the tour……

I have taken that route on vacation and it is quite scenic.
Some friends of mine did a cruise around Alaska and i got so awe some photos and some video. Luckily he’s a very good photographer so I got to see some postcard quality pictures.
On the old movie front I’m grateful to the “horror movie host” Svengoolie for showing some really great bad monster movies on Saturday night. I’m not always in town and free to see the show but I love spending Saturday night watching. Even though he’s not Elvira.
On the other hand I often have to ask my friends and relatives down in California why on earth they choose to live there especially considering what it’s starting to look like. So…why do I choose not to live in California? Here is a video of some of the sights to be seen while riding a bike on an Orange County bike path that I hope will in some way answer that question. This isn’t quite like the train down to Seward but it’s still quite educational……… ………
