One of the first songs I could “play” on the piano was part of “Heart and Soul.” Now, to be clear, I can’t play the piano. And what I’m calling “playing” is actually one finger hitting of notes in the approximate correct time. I’m no musician.
But, just because I can’t play music doesn’t mean I don’t like music. And because I can sort of play parts of “Heart and Soul” I do kinda like the song. And maybe you do, too.
Have you ever heard the original recording of it?
Now, what about you? What would you like to talk about? It’s Tuesday Night Open Thread and you have the floor.
What’s on your mind?
I feel this might have been missed so I am reposting. My apologies for my ego. [Fixed typos as well]
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul [That Donald Trump is on a Roll]
Sung By Teddy
This is what happened to make me see the light
we were getting dissed by every ol’ Liberal site.
But it ain’t been the same since election night
Donald beat that low-life, I thought it was divine
and while we won the vote you know
The Dems still thought they ran the show
But Trump started tweetin’, he was on a roll
The Dems knew they’ve been beat
So it turned into a good time
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
My head used to swim from the comments, I felt
Our plan was fumbled our chances began to melt
We’d lose our seats with the hand Donald dealt
Reporters shouted in our ears for the past we will pine
Got back to home put the internet on
Hoped Trump wouldn’t be posting our swan song
but Americans are smarter than Libs are aware
They felt pretty good
It’s getting better all the time
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
Hot tweetin’ – Bless my soul
That Donald Trump is on a Roll
I actually had already scheduled the post for this song for 8 pm Wed.
Then I got distracted by a shiny object, and forgot to leave a comment to that effect in the previous thread.
Sorry about that. I’ll do better with my communications going forward
No prob, bro.
I think Harvey (or Basil?) did slip it into one of the threads. Very crafted work! Next?!
I watched that little video that started this thread
How symbolic for Basil — Harvey — FrankJ — and all of the imaginary IMAO crew — to transform something (such as this tune) from something mundane into something so captivating and so grounded in history.. Truly uplifting! Truly inspiring. . . Truly uniting.
Heart and Soul, eh!? Soooo we’re posting songs tonight eh!? Well that part of me which is totally evil has caused me to post this song for this tonight’s Open Thread! Muhahahahaha, enjoy…if you can.

Another entry for the Nuker’s “Crammy” awards (which shoulda gone to Beyonce):
.
On a long, loathsome slope
East and West Coast lies
You can listen to Deplorables
And text out one long sigh
Because you don’t care for their money
Just for things that it can buy
But your thoughts will soon be wandering
The way they always do
When you proxy-serve 1600
Pennsylvania Avenue
Massaging the elections
And you wish that they were through
Hear our I.M.’s
On the phone again
Here we go
Texting rage
Here we go
Revealing our true intent
No one knows
Strzok and Page
When you walk into a hornet’s nest
Strung up by your bros
And you feel the eyes upon you
As you’re sucking up to foes
You pretend it doesn’t bother you
But you just want to expose . . .
Sometimes you can’t sway the rubes
Other times you can
With those same old cliches,
“Is he a Russian or the Klan?”
And you’ve always seen Obama
As an ideal Manchurian
Hear I.M.’s
On the phone again
Here we go
Opening the cage
Here we go
Revealing true intent
Here we go
Strzok and Page
Up there in the spotlight
You’re a million miles away
Every hint of NSA
You try to squirrel away
As the stuff pours out your body
Like The New York Times today
Later on that evening
As you lie to talking heads
With the echoes of the media
— Because it bled, it led
And you stoke the day’s last Reichstag
Remembering what she said:
Hear I.M.’s
On the phone again
Here we go
Texting rage
Here we go
Seal our records, now
Here we go
Strzok and Page
Ooh Bob Seger.
For those who like Bob Seger:
.
I’m a rogue state. I know you’re wary
I know your plans don’t include me
Still here we are, both of us ronery
Longing for Shelties — it’s all that we eat
Why should we worry? Obama didn’t care, world
Locked on our targets so far away
We’ve got tannite, who needs tomorrow?
We’ve got tannite, babe
Whine, U.S.A.
Compared to Seoul
I’ve been so ronery
All of my hopes, fading away
Ran out of food, like everyone else does
I know I’ll keep searching, even after today
So there it is, world: I’ve said it all now
Socialist enclave — what can I say?
We’ve got tannite, who needs tomorrow?
We’ve got tannite, babe
Whine, U.S.A.
[Spoken:] I know it’s late, I know you’re weary
I know your plans don’t include me [/Spoken]
Still here we are, both of us ronery
Both of us ronery
We’ve got tannite, who needs tomorrow?
Let’s make a blast, let’s find a way
Turn out is light, come take my land now
We’ve got tannite, babe
Whine, U.S.A.
Huh.
Verse 3: I had changed “weary” to “wary.” Either I didn’t save it, or it got autocorrected.
Benny Kubelski, better known as Jack Benny, was born February 14, 1894, in Chicago. Here he is with the incomparable Mel Blanc in a wonderful sketch:
(I stilll get a chuckle over how you adopted the moniker “The Detroyer of Threads.”)
For those that don’t remember…

What about those who don’t remember but are condemned to repeat it?
Forget about them.
Forget about who??
Exactly
