It seems to me that there are more stories, both books and TV/movies, with shape shifters. Did it all spring from a variation on the werewolf myth?

Al Jaffee, whose cartoons appeared in every issue of Mad magazine except one from April 1964 to April 2013, was born March 13, 1921, in Savannah, Georgia. He’s still alive. In 2010, he said, “Serious people my age are dead.” Happy birthday to a man who made my adolescence much more enjoyable!
