Since I’m salaried and get paid the same amount every month, February is kind of a scam.
We’re a country of a of mix people with wildly different cultures and viewpoints, and we are often vehemently opposed to each other, constantly and viciously arguing. Thrown into the mix is over 300 million guns.
Life expectancy is 78.6 years.
Someone took all my guns and left an IOU for due process 🙁
Scary rights are the most important rights to defend.
The “AR” in AR-15 stands for “assault rifle”, and the minus fifteen part means a negative fifteen penalty has been applied to it to make it okay for civilian use.
The “AR” in “ArmaLite” stands for “assault rifle.”
I recently listened to a number of songs from this old group called The Beatles. They had a real interesting variety of songs. I highly recommend checking them out.
I think a very useful thing for the office wall would be a poster of how a string is compared in each programming language.
Something to keep in mind: There are 300 to 400 million unregistered guns in this country. Even if confiscation was politically tenable (which it sounds insane to even suggest), it wouldn’t even put a dent in that. We’re a country full of guns and there is no going back.
Seems an odd time for a Death Wish remake. When the original came out, violent crime had been on the rise for over a decade and people felt helpless. Now, violent crime is at a 40 year low and everyone has guns.
Donald Trump has the economic understanding of a common Bernie Sanders.
Trade wars are good and easy to win?
That’s a hard sell to people who still have memories of The Phantom Menace which taught us they are in fact tedious and boring.
I don’t think a kid has been named “Wilbur” in a hundred years.
Went to this restaurant called McDonald’s. A wide variety of burgers and an interesting take on french fries. Very quick service and inexpensive. Might be worth checking out.
Would you shoot Hitler if he were a dog? I’m talking about just as much evil in his heart, but only capable of eating treats and getting pets.
If you wouldn’t shoot dog Hitler, would you at least refrain from telling him what a good boy he is?
I know gun control is a contentious issue, but can we all at least agree to ban the .88 magnum to protect kids?
People are upset because Death Wish is making the argument that guns are great and a good guy with a gun can stop evil? Doesn’t about half of all movies make that argument?
Oh, it’s doing it explicitly. I guess that’s different.
I’ve never watched NRATV. Does it have a show that demonstrates how, with a few minor adjustments, you can turn a regular gun into five guns?
Saw this 70s movie called Star Wars and it was a perfect Saturday afternoon adventure movie. Very imaginative and fun. I didn’t recognize most of the actors, but Harrison Ford (Air Force One) was in it.
Caving to pressure, Walmart will no longer sell a kid-sized bag of guns.
I have cut ties with the NRA. It got us both kicked out of The Men’s Warehouse.
I was always a little unsure of Jesus’s assurances in Matthew 6:26 because birds and people do starve. But there are now 7 billion more people on Earth then when Jesus said not to worry, and we eat better than any time in human history. Isn’t that a miracle?
I was a free speech absolutist but then I saw the Brooklyn BBQ article and now I want someone to go to prison for that.
If you want to figure out how many bots follow you, tweet “This statement is a lie” and see how many of your followers explode.
Since we’re a free country, our government is the least part of our nation. Thus is makes sense we have the absolutely worst people in the country run it to free everyone else up to do more important things.
With all the griping about politics, they should call it “Oscars the Grouch.”
Okay, that’s days late and not very funny and I didn’t actually watch any of the Oscars so I don’t even know if it fits, but there you go.
I think people would like Trump more if he had some fun catchphrase he used every time he ended up in wacky hijinks… something like “Trump-a-lump-a-doo!”
Cage-free eggs?! Why the hell would you keep eggs in a cage? All you need maybe is a little wall to keep them from rolling away.
Here a great idea on guns: Just give me all the guns. I’ve never shot anyone, so it’s a really safe idea. I’ll even sign a document (notarized) that I won’t give any of them to terrorists.
“Hey, neighborhood teens, want to keep it down? And this isn’t a threat or anything, but I think it’s interesting to note that I HAVE ALL THE GUNS IN THE WORLD!”
My 15yo dog is still surprising me. Never seen her kill before, but she found some baby rabbits in the backyard and was going after them. I’ll never forget her confused expression when I told her to drop it. “Why on earth are you objecting to this?”
If programmers had made the AR-15 rifle, the “AR” would stand for “AR-15 Rifle”. Ha ha. So clever.
Maybe people are scared of guns because they’re so noisy. Maybe if they were quieter, less people would be afraid of them. Like whisper quiet. Like so quiet, people could be being shot all around you right now and you wouldn’t even know. That would be less scary.
Can everyone stop talking about guns and Trump because I’m getting bored of those topics. I want to talk about curling again.
The “AR” in “ArmaLite” stands for “assault rifle.”
*Does AARP stand for American Assault Rifle People?*
“Seems an odd time for a Death Wish remake. When the original came out, violent crime had been on the rise for over a decade and people felt helpless. Now, violent crime is at a 40 year low and everyone has guns.”
You’re forgetting that the new version takes place in Chicago….very few Good Guys With Guns in Chicago.
Still, it was a really good movie with a pretty solid message. It wasn’t as “Die-Hard” as the previews would have led you to believe….not that being “Die-Hard” is bad (well, the first 3).
Harrison Ford? That guy that was in Force 10 From Navarrone? Glad to hear he got more work.
Wasn’t Michelle Obama in Star Wars? I Think she played Han’s copilot.
strcmp and strncmp, by cracky!!!!!
What a fascinating society we live in: Wall Street is no longer greedy, so sleepovers are no longer necessary; women are no longer being looked at funny, so funny hats are no longer necessary; and black lives no longer matter, so breaking and entering are no longer necessary — but guns are suddenly a problem, so leaving school and ceasing to be educated is vital!
