New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet asked staff, “How do we write about race in a thoughtful way, something we haven’t done in a large way in a long time?”
Not sure if they can make that pivot to “thoughtful.”

Probably actually thinking about the issue instead of feeling about it would be a good start.
I don’t think they can get past feelful…
I, myself, would pay my own money (amount to be determined) if, somehow, I could avoid being lectured to/preached to/hectored about race (or anything else regarding differentiation of God’s Children) by “my betters”.
To differentiate God’s Children, you measure their change over an interval, then take the limit of the ratio of that measure to the size of the interval as that size approaches zero.
Calculus 101…..
You lost me at “differentiate”.
It is certain that they would never, ever consider substituting the word ‘honest’ for the word ‘thoughtful’.
Actually, they would recoil from the very concept like a vampire and Holy Water.
