Just in time for Halloween and in what is perhaps the most bizarre collar of their lives, police in Guelph, Canada, have arrested a machete-wielding, bike-riding clown.

Good morning all and welcome to our next on going tournament Throwdown, the top 100 Christmas songs of all time. Now to clear up a few things. I’ve used someone’s list. The one I used is, of course, arbitrary but it does rank them and does not use duplicate versions of the same song. The downside to the list is that he uses who he thinks does the best version. I’ve decided to use his choices to keep things easy on myself but you may end up coming across a song where you will say “Hey, that’s not the best version!” So be it. Vote the song not the version.
Since we don’t have a symmetrical number of songs we have a quirky play in format. The songs we will be starting with, beginning this week, are the bottom 16. We will have 2 rounds to get down to the final 4 songs. These songs will be added to the next 28 songs to produce our next 2 rounds which will produce 8 winners. These will then be added to the next 56 and will give us our final 64 songs and our real tournament will commence.
The first play in mini-tournament will be morning (10:00 am) and (2:00 pm) afternoon sessions. We will then go to our 4 a day sessions (10:00 am; 2:00 pm; 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm) for the remainder of the tournament.
Once again we will use strength of preference voting. Remember, if it has thank you’d for your vote your vote was recorded. I think that covers it so let’s get this party started. Pass the Egg nog!
