Funny story, about 1961, at A&W( not sure if you have them) and back then everybody carried salt and pepper in their car. There was a salt shaker on the tray. I tell my Dad, hey Dad, we can fill up our salt shaker. My Dad says, Son, if the day ever comes when I have to steal salt, I ‘m going to give up…ah, the memories..
Ahhh, my youth.
56 Mercury or Chevy? My hunch.. had one of those. Good memories.
Except for the design on the soda cup, I could almost believe the pic was snapped in the 50’s.
Do not touch the fake food as it could still be covid positive.

They have close all or most of the A&W’s up here in New England but I saw a few on a recent trip down south (KY and TN)…as you said, ah, the memories.
Did ya notice the wing window? I really miss the wing window.
(’55 or ’56 Chevy, I’m betting)
Oh! And I bet ya turn a crank handle to open/close the side windows
It works even when the ignition is off. Great invention.
