What’s Up With This?

I think the title says it all.

There’s just no way to claim you thought you were going to read a work of fine literature.

  1. Oppo in 6th Grade:

    “My Book Report.

    “For my book report, I read the Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism. This is a story about . . . ”

    TEACHER: “Oppo, may I speak to you privately?”

    [Brings him into cloak room. Closes door.]

    [Undoes white blouse. Lifts skirt. Rubs nubs.]

    [Kisses Oppo passionately. Almost insanely passionately. Oppo, at that age, becomes a man. She goes to find a tissue.]

    Clearing her lungs, she declared class over for the day.

    But no, the lessons were not over for Oppo.

    The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism had to be acted out, chapter by chapter.
