[High Praise! to The Washington Examiner]
Feminists don’t care about the gender gap in ballet. Why should we care about the one in tech?

Tutus should come with pocket protectors.
As an extremely odd bird who was once a ballet dancer and heavily into the arts and who also for the last 30 years has been in the tech world and hires IT on a regular basis (looking for Reliability Engineers currently), I can attest to the truth of this article. Not only is there NOT a negative bias against females in tech, there is actually a HEAVY positive bias because they are so hard to locate and hire. The job is the closest a lot of IT geeks will ever get to a female, so hiring them is a big retention driver. I also remember being in a master class early on in my ballet training and being not only one of a few males, but the ONLY straight male, and after the class being offered a chance to dance with the Dallas Ballet Theater. It made no sense other than the fact that I was such a rarity. I’ve had dinner/met with Google teams and other tech leaders, and the reverse bias is very real and glaringly obvious.
