So I got another deposit to my junk mail list from ye olde Limey today. Didn’t see anyone else in the “to” list. Am I the lucky one, or is he using BCC now?

Sure it would if we really had the balls. I’d love it if Rummy and W would take ten of the worst bums in Gitmo, chain ’em together, video them with W making the following statement: “To the vermin that kidnap our citizens and threaten them with death, let it be known that for each american you murder, I will execute 10 of your followers. The United States of America is a peace-loving country, but we will no longer tolerate your barbaric religion or your attempts to impose your will upon our freedom loving people.” Then, if we need to, we follow though and release our video. To hell with the left and the hate America crowd; they’ll hate us no matter what we do. To hell with the Arab street too! The Geneva Conventions specifically and by design do not apply to unlawful combatants. The dogs we fight deserve to die in the worst ways possible. They will not rest until they either convert or kill every last man, woman and child in the United States. 1 – i like to think that what separates me (and other honorable people) from the hate America crowd is my adherence to true principles of justice and morality
2 – the vermin dont care if we kill those 10 or any other 10, so we may as well focus on killing the vermin that are still a threat to us. the bums in Gitmo arent a threat, but the kidnappers etc are, so we should focus on them
3 – psy ops and propaganda are an important part of waging war, and doing stuff like this would screw us over. if you can’t see the incredibly damaging effects this would have on our cause…i’m just glad you’re blowing air somewhere far away from the war room
4 – religious fanatics are not crushed by persecution only (which is what this would amount to). they are crushed by being exposed as frauds, being converted, corrupted or rendered meaningless somehow
5 – ever hear “the pen is more powerful than the sword”? cliche or not, its true now more than ever. why the hell do you think the hate America crowd is splooging over Abu Ghraib??? to dan rather, peter jennings, michael moore and company, what you suggest is the orgasm of orgasms in convenient shrink wrapped packaging.

If I wanted to stop terrorists from taking hostages to try to bargain for the release of their comrades, I would start by “releasing” every terrorist they asked for in lots of very small tupperware containers mixed with pigs fat. Then I would publically announce that we would continue to meet all prisoner release demands in a similar fashion.
