Okay, now I’m thinking, I don’t know which Rescue Me song you guys are talking about cause the only one I know is that really poppy Aretha Franklin version. If there is a more somber and serious version out there, then I’m gonna feel really bad about thinking this topic was suggested to be lighthearted.

OH YEAH, I forgot about that show, which I believe came about with 9/11 as it’s inspiration…if I’m right…please forgive me if I’m not. I don’t have cable (I’d rather pay for crappy dial-up internet instead)
But anyway, Dennis Leary is in that isn’t he? And he’s pretty funny. I’ve seen that video at Blockbuster, maybe I should rent it. Any opinions? Besides, Frank, who I trust implicitely on his TV suggestions, but need more than one to refer to my hubby.

I’m a firefighter – we watch the show every week at our station and love it.
They have the dialog down pat. We’d like to see more fire-shots and a little less soap-opera though.
And more sex of course, but that’s a given.

I like “Somebody Save Me” on the Smallville collection better.
PS. FIRST!!!

I love Rescue Me and the way it portrays 9/11 chokes me up every time.

Well, I’ll second a recommendation for Rescue Me. Excellent series. Definately see it from the beginning or a lot of it won’t make sense.
