My parents lived through WW2. Dad fought in South Pacific, mom worked making airplane instruments. They told me the story of the code talkers decades ago. It was a source of pride that these men served and they contributed.
I heard Liz Warren is a Code Talker and can speak a full 1/32nd of it.
There was a 2002 movie, Windtalkers, about the Code Talkers. You probably never saw it because it’s a Nicolas Cage movie. I’d tell you about it, but I never saw it because it’s a Nicolas Cage movie. I’ve heard it’s really bad, which is a shame considering the potential.
The movie was more about Nicolas Cage’s characters problems than telling the story of the code talkers. They were just the vehicle to convey Cage’s journey to enlightenment on race and deal with his inner demons and be redeemed.
