I’ve got a recipe for chocolate chip/oatmeal cookies that calls for 1 and 1/2 cups of butter flavored vegetable shortening.
I could substitute bacon fat for the shortening and let you know how it turns out.
@1 – That sounds awesome. Please report the results.
I once tried adding bacon to chocolate chip cookies, but the chocolate flavor WAY overpowered the bacon.
That much bacon fat will, hopefully, be a more worthy opponent, flavorwise.
