Harry Reid said during a floor speech regarding his $15 billion “jobs” bill:
“I had met with some people while I was home dealing with domestic abuse. It has gotten out of hand. Why? Men don’t have jobs.”
Fred Thompson tweeted:
Reid: Jobless men = domestic abuse. Is he saying we should be worried about Mrs. Reid after the November elections?
and made Harry Reid cry:
Harry Reid’s spokesman isn’t laughing at Fred Thompson’s Wednesday tweet — musing whether the majority leader would beat his wife if he loses reelection in November — calling the comment “despicable” and invoking Reid’s own violence-plagued childhood.
“While Fred Thompson may think he was being funny, it is unfortunate and disappointing that so many on the right would make light of domestic abuse,” Jim Manley wrote me in an e-mail. “As someone who witnessed it firsthand as a child, Sen. Reid does not find the issue funny.”
Apparently Fred was mistaken, and what Reid was really saying was “only a wife-beater would vote against my bill.”
dumb men without jobs beat thier wives, im smirter than that, and ill show m by george, or by obama or …..
I have no choice but to laugh uproariously at this.
so let me get this straight… making a joke about domestic violence is wrong… but using it to score political points and to bully people in to voting for your bill is ok. yea that makes scene.

I find Hairy Reed funny, so it all balances out .
So he says he had a troubled childhood?
That explains a lot.
Actually, “despicable” would be making a statement like “This war is lost” while our troops are in harms way.
If Dingy Harry had not brought it up in the first place…. This is a common liberral tactic. Olburman, Pelosi, Kennedy (may satan rest his soul), Tingles Matthews, and the others will bring up a touchy minefield subjest so that any comment is viewed insensitive and mean.
Abusers, both male and female, quite often have a history of being abused themselves, so I think Fred was point on. Look out Mrs. Reid and Mrs. Obama!
