I realized I’ll need some special tools to install the flag holder in the masonry that makes up the exterior of my home. No one else in my neighborhood had flags up, though, except for the kind old man across the street from me who installed a flagpole and has a flag up every morning, God bless him.
Well, while I was outside, the mailman came by and gave me a package containing my Rachel Lucas mug and Celebrate Diversity t-shirt (items that go great with your order of the Nuke the Moon t-shirt… did I mention that’s out now?).
Ahh, a new coffee mug. Did I ever mention how much I love coffee? If I could only keep one vice, either coffee or beer, coffee would win hands down. And I only drink it black and can’t imagine drinking it any other way.
Hey, look! There’s a cup of coffee in front of me right now! Hooray!

Coffee is great for sharpening the wit!
But black? Ick. You’d be totally disgusted if you saw the way I drink it.
Is there any recommended wearing pattern for the Celebrate Diversity and Nuke the moon shirts?
I have the former and the latter is in the mail so I need to know. I’d be embarrased to wear them on the wrong days, and summer is here so it’s too hot to wear them both at the same time.
Thanks for reminding me of two important things: 1. I need to put my flag out (I dealt with the masonry problem a while back), and 2. (and even more importantly) it is time to make some coffee.
Thanks for the help!
Steven,
That’s what I’m here for.
I’m looking to install a flagpole in my front yard myself, I’m just kind of iffy on how you’re supposed to keep it ramrod straight up while the cement dries.
I wanted to install 2, so I can fly the Stars & Stripes, and my “Don’t tread on me” flag, but the wife won’t let me. Women….
Jeez, Frank, don’t throw up visuals like having to choose between giving up beer or coffee. That’s like in a movie where the hitman says, ‘head or gut?’ Of course at that point you make “yo’ momma” jokes until you cut his throat with a broken bottle, but even so, I think you should put up some kind of warning if you’re going to write scary stuff.
A “The Last Boy Scout” reference. Cool.
