It sounds like the militant feminists have done their job well. It is perfectly ok for a woman to have the ambition to raise a strong family. The man who is trying to earn a living should be looking at it the same way. You bring home the cash to strengthen the family.
Though those are the more traditional roles, the important thing is the goal. Both partners should focus on strengthening their family (with or without kids!) If a the couple, and their situation, decide that one must stay at home more then that is what needs done.
So real the real trick is to find a partner who will work with you for the same goal.
