I Haven’t Seen This Much Crap on T.V. Since that Discovery Channel Special on Dung Beetles

Man, these Democrats won’t shut up. Is anyone buying this? I think I’ll need to do a write up on Democrats so everyone irrationally hates them as much as me.
Sorry I have’t had time for proper posts, but I’ve been quite busy. One conference just ended, and maybe I’ll have more time during this next one. Then there is another one still (you’ll have to keep tuning into IMAO to see where Frank J. pops up next!). I have something brewing in my head, but need to type it out.
BTW, I never did plug the Casual Conservative; make sure to check them out through their blogad. Also, The Manchurian Candidate has paid for another week; I hear Denzel Washington himself said that the movie must be advertised on IMAO.
Off to In And Out Burger; one of my coworker is paying since he made $160 playing blackjack last night. Catch you foo’s later.
One last thing: It’s kinda interesting that the video biography for John Kerry that his daughters introduced barely mentioned anything about his nineteen years in the Senate. Seems to be his whole argument is: “I was in Vietnam and then married a rich woman. Elect me president.”

  1. WHAT??? Democrat convention??? I thought it was the new season of American Idol. Guess I’ll give up waiting for some talent to show up.
Is there any way to vote them ALL off the island?

  2. Wait, we’ve got all these vets up there supporting Kerry. They’re all saying Kerry can be depended upon.
But just a few weeks ago he voted no against some 100 million to our troops for better Humvee armor and whatnot. He voted no because he said Bush needed to learn a lesson. So now he’s using troop’s lives and political leverage.
Is anyone else waiting for a sniper incident at this convention?

  3. Anybody listen to Michael Savage today?
He had a guest who was with Kerry in Nam.
He said this guy is full on phoney.
As if we needed him to tell us, but their is a book out now talking about all this hubub about his staged fighting, re-inacting making him the hero..
    What freakin joke.
Oh why did I give up the wacky weed? I could use it now, maybe I wil go get an all American micro brew… Gotta focus…must focus…losing consciousness…..
Goodness, did you hear? Kerry was in Nam, he mentioned at least 5 times so far

  4. I didn’t catch his speech, but I just read some of it on Fox News. What a load of fecal material!
Flip Flop: So he’s going to “defend this country like he did in Vietnam,” but yet after he got back from his 4 month river rafting trip, he basically went in front of Congress and said it was a load of b.s., and that our soldiers were over there committing atrocities.
Flip Flop: He “won’t hesitate to use force to defend this country, and will not allow any international organizations to use a veto to prevent us from acting,” but yet he says we shouldn’t act unilaterally and we should work with the UN and NATO before engaging in any actions. Which is it, Special K?
This guy, his veep candidate, and basically all the people in what the Democratic party has become are so far off the deep end with rhetoric-spewing, non-factual, blatantly one-sided political maneuvering, it makes me sick. I don’t know…wait, yes I do know…how this country slid so far into sheer stupidity. Take some freaking responsibility for yourselves, use…God forbid!…COMMON SENSE, and deal with what reality throws at you! It’s life! GET SOME!

  5. Bring your boots, this shit is getting deep.
WTF? Kerry was in Nam? I’ve been watching this whole thing and it was never mentioned once. God, I must have fallen asleep or done something equally more important than watch this.
Ok, so he was in Nam… did he fight or just bitch the whole time?

  6. Nam needs to be mentioned so much, to deflect from his Senate voting record. The Swift Boat Vets against Kerry have been all over Boston radio this week (as well as protesting a couple of the days). Its amazing the stuff they spill about Kerry, I can’t wait to read the book.

  7. I know how you feel, Sarahk, though I actually forced myself to watch the whole thing. That Discovery Channel special about dung beetles is starting to look very intriguing right about now…
I caught 7 references to Vietnam, and only 1 reference to his Senate career. Strange that four months of his life can result in 7 mentions, when 19 years only result in 1.
Did anyone else hear him say “hair pollution” instead of air pollution?

  8. Bush needed to be taught a lesson. Just like that teenager he shot in the back in some weird little country whose name escapes me.
And the vets that were standing beside him at the convention are the ones that were the closest to the agent orange.

  9. Kerry said ” Put up an iron curtain, socialize health care ” soon we’ll see our troops goosestepping on May 1st…
I still can’t get over Jimmy Carter, Mr foriegn policy… Didn’t he give away the Panama canal, create the grian embargo with russia that about bankrupted the american farmer and ohh yeah, left hosteges in Iran for a year and a half…
Yep, think i’d rather listen to a public relations speech from Saddam Hussien

  10. As as usual iraqwarwrong is wrong again.
Kerry and the DNC will experience a sudden and surprising DROP in polling numbers over the weekend. From which Kerry will NEVER recover.
Count on President Bush re-winning the White House in November by 12 to 15 Electoral Votes.

  11. AHH THE MUCKADOOS! (That means LIBERAL, or IDIOT…for those of you who don’t understand what we’re calling you…) they need to get out, and stay out. Geez go back to mr. Ian-face’s hangout or whatever.
Did anyone else catch Leno or Letterman tonight?? Letterman was making fun of the democratic convention, and that was good to see. Leno had MICHAEL MOORE on his show today…and it was the most horrible thing I’ve ever seen…he was like “put whether you’re a democrat or a republican…put that aside. You should ask yourself the question, who would I rather be in a foxhole with? For me, it’s a no brainer…I’d want Lt. Kerry there with me!” Yes, I’m sure he would. And he said there aren’t enough parties to represent everyone in this country. Yes there are. There’s the conservatives, and the crazy losers. Duh. And he says to put all personal animosity’s aside…hello! His whole “Documentary” was a personal animosity, and he said so himself! And if any ignorant liberal comes sniffing around here and says anything nice about Michael Moore…well they’d better run away; and fast. Loser.
So I flipped back to Letterman and he had Natalie Portman on there asking why anyone would vote for Bush…WHY OH WHY must Hollywood be so full of liberals?? It really makes our country look bad.

  12. I still can’t get over the image in my mind of Kerry giving poor little Alexandra’s hamster CPR. How utterly ridiculous. A cardboard cutout of him could have done just as well.

  13. I’ve begun noticing a trend with Democrats. First it was Al Gore and always talking about the “lock box.” now its Kerry and “I served in Vietnam.” wonder what the next presidential race will be about? I bet the next guy “invented sliced bread!”

  14. I know what our next president won’t be saying: “I get all my news off IMAO!”
Also, what is this obsession with Hollywood? If you don’t like what they have to say, then turn them off. No one’s making you listen to them! In one sentence, you dismiss all of them, but in the next you act like what they say really, REALLY matters to you. Maybe you should seek Karl Rove. He’ll always say what you want to hear.

  15. Dear Ian McGibboney,
You’re absolutely right about that first thing. As a matter of fact, Bush said a while back he doesn’t read mainstream newspapers, since he already gets his news straight from the source. Of course, I don’t know if it’s exactly correct to call him our ‘next’ president, since it’s his second term. The ‘next’ would be whoever is elected in 2008.
And about (presumably Jen) being obsessed with Hollywood? It seems they, Hollywood, have a large platform, whether we like it or not. To not be concerned about that, and the way it makes our country look, and the way it affects our society, would be a failure of moral duty. A sin of omission, if you will. I realize that the nature of so-called-liberalism these days leaves little room for anything that does not serve you directly, so this may be a difficult concept for you to conprehend. I urge you to try, nonetheless.

  16. You should ask yourself the question, who would I rather be in a foxhole with? For me, it’s a no brainer…I’d want Lt. Kerry there with me!
Oh, like there would be any room in the foxhole for anyone else if you were there, Mikey.

  17. Jimmy Carter bemoaning the loss of international prestige and honor is like former Washington DC Mayor Marion Berry complaining about the failures of the War on Drugs.
And to any liberal who is going to try and defend the peanut…I don’t care what you say. I was one of those that had to pay for his ineptitude and incompetence. I (and 99% of the military) don’t mind dying but we resent dying because some muckadoo can’t make a decision or makes the wrong one (and before you think of your standard ripost…going to Iraq was the RIGHT decision!)
As for the foxhole? I’d have to also go for Kerry for three reasons:
    1. They no longer give the Medal of Honor to people who throw themselves on grenades.
    2. I’m bulkier than sKerry and could easily use a two point takedown to floor him.
    3. Body armor and equipment would make him bulky enough that he’d still stop more than 90% of the shrapnel.
(the rest of us could also spit his PB&Js!)

  18. I would want Kerry in my foxhole Then I could shoot him and… BANG!… Got my own foxhole!
But afterwards I would take my camera that I brought for just this purpose and make a movie of me trying to valiantly save Kerry, and then do a fake interview with myself about how I tried to save him.
Then I would go before a senate committee and tell everyone that the deceased Mr. Kerry was a war criminal that raped women and murdered babies and visa versa…because I know that is what he would have wanted.

  19. I’m not sure how many times his daughters mentioned his height?! What’s up with that. Did you know he was six-four? What a gangly bastard!
If any leftist thinks that Bush “lied” about the reason for the Iraq war, then they must think that JFK lied about the Bay of Pigs too. We lost 1400 people based on faulty intelligence. I guess FDR lied to about the Normandy invasion. It was all based on intelligence, which can be flawed.
    Stupid ass liberals…
Lord, please send me a liberal to chew up this afternoon because I need to vent all of the frustration of watching the Poodle lie about everything he says.
    Carl P

  20. Hey All,
Nice site. I have been visiting for a while and finally I am compelled to make a comment. I didn’t watch the DNC but I did hear snippets of the various speeches.
What was said about the POTUS and his administration was the most evil, lying spew I have ever heard. I don’t recall any prior political convention this nasty…from either side. These people, along with Hollywierd and M. Moore were allowed to hurl one lie after another knowing they wouldn’t be taken to task for it. This has opened a new page in American history.
I know political campaigns can be fierce but this is something completely different. The world was watching us. Our military was watching us. I could care little what the world thinks of us, however, these antics and the degrading of the presidency is a sign of weakness. It is not dissent, criticism or thoughtful debate. It’s poisonous spew. It degrades the office of the presidency and it degrades our country.
I am a 45 year old woman who retired from the army in 1999. My husband retired 2 years earlier.
While serving, we heard many nasty things about the presidents we served under. Nothing as bad as this. There are certain rules in the military concerning respecting the Commander in Chief. When Clinton was president, I didn’t like him much but he was still the Commander and was due respect.
Our military is watching and seeing this disgusting crap. They are seeing their Commander in Chief being made to look like and evil, lying, greedy buffoon who cares nothing about their lives. We know this isn’t true but this WILL negatively effect morale. We have good soldiers but most of them are young guys..
From Gore’s insinuation that the 2000 election was stolen to Kerry’s goofy speech about coming to rescue us (rescue us from what?), this whole convention was a perverted circus for all the world to see. I’m not usually bothered by this stuff but after thinking about it I got so angry I couldn’t sleep. Am I getting too worked up over this? I don’t think so. It is highly possible these people will win this election.
I really believe we are in the last decades of Western Civilization.

  21. Well, I forced myself to watch this – it is the first time since the 96 DNC convention, where I was swearing at the TV within 4 minutes and had toi shut it off. Fortunately, my wife was working the late shift, so I tuned in John F’in Kerry (As El Rushbo says)
I listened to him talk about his youth, and how he switched from his mom being a den mother of the cub / boy scouts to how she taught him to love trees because they are nature’s cathedrals.
(BURP) – stomach turning already – head throbbing
Then he started on his little tour in….. Indo China was it? He never apologized for calling my father and my father-in-law war criminals.
He then started on the Bush Administration:
My Attorney General won’t violate the Constitution (Never mind he voted for the Patriot Act)
My Vice President won’t have secret and illegial meetings with polluters (Never mind the Supreme Court said it was fine – separation of powers folks!)
I will listen to military advisors about war (Never mind we voted for the war before we voted against it)
    Urp urp- uhh…….
He said that the administration supports outsourcing, and he never would (outside of the fact it is such a small blimp in the total picture of the economy it is insiginifcant)
He mentioned that he voted for the 100,000 cops on the street bill, (which never came close to 100,000 officers in the first place, nor did it fund it outside of 2 or 3 year)
He talked about the greatest generation, and how they defeated communism (Never mind the fact that it was Ronaldus Magnus who did that)
He said he would fight for womens rights (Outside of Afghanistan and Iraq, apparently)
He would rebuild the alliances and trust and get others to help in the war on terror (another slap in the face to Britain, and the other nations helping)
He mentioned September 11th, and how united we were, and then tried to pin it on Bush (Never mind his party, a mere 2 weeks after the attack, was ready to have a press conference saying Bush didn’t do anything – when the invasion of Afghanistan started the same day)
He also said that he sees the world and situations as complex, not as simple things – if there was ever an example of elitism, there it is! Some things are simple as black and white, Senator, such as terrorists and nations that support them are evil, and we are good.
    Simple.
I saw good ol’ Ben Affleck and DiCaprio in the audience, I don’t think I will ever watch another movie with them in it again (He is not a good choice for Jack Ryan, BTW)
He then went into another tirade about Iraq, and WMD, etc. etc. etc. I have posted about that before.
He went into the patriotism thing again, as Hillary and others talked about, ugh. He said that protesting is somehow brave and noble. Um, protesting in a country that is free is not brave or noble. Protesting in say, Cuba, or China, is, since you can either end up in Jail or being killed for your activity.
It sickens me that while we are at war, there is a major party in America that not only trashes the Commander in Chief, but also plays politics with the brave men and women of the armed forces.
Being patriotic is putting aside your personal agenda, or ideology, and supporting the greater good, such as troop morale. If you want to disagree, fine, but I am sure we are a laughing stock because of the way Kerry and his kind have acted.
I finally turned it off after twenty minutes, when Dean’s flag speech came up yet again. I have heard that That flag belongs to everyone, not just Rush Limbaugh and Jerry Falwell. Oops – combined Dean and Kerry there – oh well.
With my stomach rolling, my head pounding, and watched something much better – Futuroma. : )
This guy has no specifics, and all he spoke of are plaitudes, and dripping hunks of red meat to the Democrats. It was not hopeful, nor was it inspiring. I can’t imagine people watching this speech, and see anyhting but vile hatred for Bush, and typical blatterings about Democrat issues, like health care, environment, etc. How many years have they been talking the same things – 1938? 66 years for healthcare now.
This is what I got from the speech – I’m John Kerry – I served in Vietnam, and I will be doing everything better than Bush.
Needless to say, I was not impressed.
I will wait to see what the outcome is, but I think it will be bad for him.
I cna’t wait to see iamwrong’s reaction when Kerry loses.

  22. Frank,
Forget about Dukakis Jr. (I can’t wait till he loses, man that’ll be sweet). You need to finagle a conference in Texas. Sarah K is just sittin there waiting.
So get moving, while the rest of us sit here seething with jealousy.
PS. How did the gambling turn out?

  23. Excellent post, Scott. I’m off to do my Army Reserve PT assessment…but only because President Bush wants me to be ready so he can send me to die in Iraq, of course (just kidding). I’m doing it because I WANT TO! The military is a volunteer service, the people are in because they want to be! Grr.
Alright guys and gals, don’t get too worked up over those liberal morons. I’ll check in later.

  24. IWW, if you’re against the war in Iraq, how in the world can you support Kerry? He supports it.
Donna W; welcome (and thank you for your service). Don’t feel to bad – the Bush bashing was pretty lame really. I remember when Ann Richards ripped her dad years ago – it came off badly.
But that reminds me of my favorite Ann Richards joke. She goes to the plastic surgeon to see what he can do for her. He examines her, and says “well the bad news is I can only take 10 years off your looks. But the good news is we’ll have enough left over for a belt and a pair of boots”!

  25. Kerry hit all democrat talking points
    started with vietnam
    bash bush bash bush
bash bush Clinton bash bush enron
    vietnam vietnam vietnam
Ter-RA-za Breck Girl bash bush bash bush God Bless America
I kept watching the speech and at one point he had not said vietnam for a while and I was thinking “all right bring it back. say vietnam…say it!!” and he did. Also did anyone notice he said he wanted extra “special forces for terrorist activities”? He corrected himself in the next second but I want that soundbite!

  26. Hey Donna! Don’t get depressed, I’m about your age (was in the military only about 5 yrs though), and I can remember all sorts of nasty things said about prior administrations. It’s just the liberals feeling helpless and vindictive because they don’t control the executive or legislative branches anymore. It’s a pretty sure bet republicans will hold onto the legislative, and probably Bush will win too, so expect more. But you don’t need to give so much credence to the dhimmicrats; focus on the positive. Life is good!

  27. Okay, so Kerry says Vietnam a lot.

    Ever notice that Bush doesn’t?
    Hey Ian McGibboney,
Okay, so Kerry admits that he and his fellow servicemen committed war crimes in Vietnam.
    Ever notice that Bush doesn’t?
So Kerry admits that if the UN (or the French) doesn’t think that we, as a nation, should protect ourselves, then under his presidency we won’t.
    Ever notice that Bush doesn’t?
So Kerry changes his message depending on what group he’s talking to?
    Ever notice that Bush doesn’t?
Someone else take over please…this is TOO easy…

  28. I just want to echo Ian Mc’Gibboney’s fine points on this thread. From the excellent point about no one will get their news from IMAO (it’s true, when you think about it! what a put-down of Frank J.!). To how Bush doesn’t say “Vietnam” much (he’s always talking about Iraq Iran North Korea bla bla bla why no mention of Vietnam?). Keep up the good work Ian Mc’Biggoney.
    Makes my job here easier!

  29. Jen — to understand why Hollywood is so full of so-called liberals who are actually socialists (it was bad of us to let them steal the word) try reading some Oscar Wilde; I recommend “A woman of no consequence” and “Lady Windermere’s Fan” and “A Portrait of Dorian Grey.” Basically, these people get positions of power by entertaining others and begin to think that anything bad that happens — either bad luck or through the consequences of their own actions — should be borne / paid for by somebody else. Socialism promises that to its followers. Because the British couldn’t say no to such entertaining fools, their empire fell in. Ours may too for the same reasons.

  30. “special forces for terrorist activities”?
    I heard this too.
Hey I am thinking to myself, “Don’t these guys sound like consevatives…what’s up with that?
    Who’s writing these speaches?
I can’t believe what I am seeing…they are trying to imitate the right wing, in hopes of getting more support.
And it looks as if the muckadoos are buying it.
Well we ain’t buying what your selling!!
Ian McGibblet and Iraqwarwrong…take a long walk off a short per! You NAZIs!
    (NAZIs= National Socialists)
Come by and see my first blog entry for more details on this.

  31. Okay, what’s with all the liberals coming here and whining about how some of us know the truth? Good Lord. I am not overly concerned with Hollywod; truthfully, I could not care less what they think. They have no clue what they’re talking about. Secondly, it’s a very dumb idea to come to a conservative site and be like, “Bush is bad. Kerry good. Iraq war bad…blah blah blah blah”. No one really cares. (Well most people don’t care. I can’t speak for everyone. Maybe some people think it’s funny..?)

  32. Former Hostage,
Judging by his responses (or lack thereof), I’ve decided Ian McGibboney isn’t bright enough to be worth reasoning with. There are a few liberals who are, and when they start paying attention, they become conservatives.

  33. Ah, Ian…
You remind me of that nutbag Hillary Clinton who “chooses” not to believe in the truth. Truth is black and white Ian.
I “choose” to believe that that were no WMDs(even if the US and Polish armies found Sarin filled warheads)…I “choose” to believe that the economy is bad(even though housing and small-businesses continue to grow, while enemployment rates continue downward)…I “choose” to believe that PETA is an organization worth federal funding(even though those freaks would choose the life of an endangered cactus over a growing baby)….I “choose” to believe that Saddam was not a threat (even though he shot at our planes everyday for 12 years prior to the war and neglected weapons inspectors from entering the country).
There is a fundamental flaw in your thinking. Please “choose” to throw yourself in front of a bus, or “choose” not to enter a debate without confronting truth.
    Thanks in advance…

  34. Wolf’s Dawd,
Not to worry, Frank didn’t give me a “job”, it is self appointed. That job is – in one word (in a, nutshell) – DISSENT. All Frank did, is, that he (despite being Wrong about what the Iraq War was) generaously KNOWS how to graciously tolerate/understand my dissent (which is more than I can say for some here) (who shall remain nameless) (i.e. some posters above in this thread)

  35. How nice of you guys to be so concerned for my general health and welfare.
I don’t think truth is black and white. That kind of thinking is what destroys civilizations. I am FOR America, but AGAINST the macho, crotch-grabbing warmongering of George W. Bush.
I know I’m onto something as a liberal because every time I post I get dozens of pissed-off reactions. If you think I’m ignorant then visit my site. I am not afraid of critics. Are you?

  36. Managed to cudgel my sensibilities into temporary submission, and watch a portion (somewhere around the 2/3 mark, I think) of The Speech – have to give it up, though, when he mentioned how he had “…decades of experience in national security…” WTF??? His only previous brush with “national security” issues is when he voted FOR the action in Iraq, then voted AGAINST paying for it!
‘Nuff said – The Ketchup Boy’s goin’ down in November, BIG-time!

  37. “I am FOR America, but AGAINST the macho, crotch-grabbing warmongering of George W. Bush”
More hateful rhetoric from the left, aka LibDems, National Socialists aka NAZI
At least Dubya has a crotch to grab.
Which is more than I can say for John “I gotta scwatch, can I have anotha puh-pull haut?” Kerry

  38. Oh, and McGibbering – you’re not a critic – a critic occasionally has something useful to say. You’re just another Lefty moronic troll –
And your so-called site sucks swamp snot.

  39. Ain’t it just like a liberal…all rhetorical rants and no factual foundation to build a worthwhile ‘exchange of ideas’. I do respect Mike Farrell(sp?) of MASH fame, who although a liberal, will argue with facts WITHOUT resorting to screeching, spittle-spewing fanaticism.
I can handle ‘civil’ discourse, but, alas, it is unlikely to be found among Liberals and Democrats. *Sigh

  40. “aka LibDems, National Socialists aka NAZI”
“Oh, and McGibbering – you’re not a critic – a critic occasionally has something useful to say. You’re just another Lefty moronic troll – And your so-called site sucks swamp snot.”
“Your illiteracy is exceeded only by your ignorance and your idiocy.”
“Ain’t it just like a liberal…all rhetorical rants and no factual foundation to build a worthwhile ‘exchange of ideas’… WITHOUT resorting to screeching, spittle-spewing fanaticism.
I can handle ‘civil’ discourse, but, alas, it is unlikely to be found among Liberals and Democrats. Sigh
    And I’m the name-caller?

  41. you guys must see what Iama McNugget posted on his blog…..

    He loves us so much.

    Brilliant moments in lexicography
Supporters of the Bush administration (at least those in the blogosphere) are constantly coming up with new and unique insults to describe liberals. You’ve seen many upon many on this page, and you can see them of course on any right-wing blog.
The latest among these creative epithets is “muckadoo.” In the last 48 hours alone, I’ve been called a “muckadoo” on IMAO almost as many times as Bush has IQ points. So, naturally, I’ve been wondering what it means. Lo and behold, I’ve finally been bestowed an answer by the fine folk at Hello Infidels! According to that site’s introductory post, “muckadoo” has legitimate etmylogical roots:
“You sick little muckadoo, (“Monkey see, monkey do” -Frank J. speak) don’t you get it?!?!”
Aha! I KNEW it was a Frank term! In case you don’t know, Frank is the almighty god of IMAO. He’s the Rush Limbaugh of bloggers, a guy who can spawn off all manners of absurd terminology and who has a fawning fan base. If only I were that powerful! If Frank is the Rush of bloggers, then J.A. Olinger (the blogger behind Hello Infidels) is the Web’s wannabe Michael Savage. His influences are quite obvious:
“I listen to the voice of sanity Mon-Fri, Michael Savage. He is the man!” [True fact: Michael Savage’s last name is actually Weiner!]
He also pimps for “the lovely and talented Ann Coulter,” as well as “the real son of Ronald Reagan, Michael Reagan (real because he embodies the former prez better than his son by the same name.) Though he was adopted, he is the true son of that great statesman, Ray-gun.”
In the interest of fine grassroots debate, I’m always on the lookout for a true conservative weblog. If you are too, then check him out! You’ve been warned.

  42. Oooooh, ya’ got me, Ian. So saying I respect Mike Farrell(sp?) a ‘Hollywood’ liberal, is name calling? While I despise many celebrities’ politics, I still try to keep an open mind. Speaking of which, are you here for friendly debate, or are you just wanting to bash? To quote someone above, (oh, that would be you),
“If you don’t like what they have to say, then turn them off. No one’s making you listen to them! In one sentence, you dismiss all of them, but in the next you act like what they say really, REALLY matters to you.”
If you don’t like what you are hearing, then leave. If you can’t handle the flak, then leave. But I can still wish you a good day, and really mean it, bless your little heart!
    Pax Domini sit Semper Vobiscum

  43. “Then I would go before a senate committee and tell everyone that the deceased Mr. Kerry was a war criminal that raped women and murdered babies and visa versa…because I know that is what he would have wanted.”
LMAO Frank, you need to ask FKSM if you can use that line in one of your “In My World” stories. It needs life beyond the comment section.

  44. Joshua — I don’t remember the G-man’s name, but there’s a law of Meme’s that says that if you’re calling your opponents NAZI’s you’ve lost the debate. Leave losing debates that way to the “Bush is Hitler” crowd please. Maybe if we reason a bit better with Ian and direct him to sources like “The Road to Serfdom” he can understand that turning the government over to waffling opportunists who promise to raise taxes & spend more of our hard-earned money is a bad idea, worse than voting for warmongers like Bush. It’s a pity that the Democrats have such a lousy coalition that they have to spew socialist dung like this at us — rather than true liberalism that grants freedom through non-interference of government rather than the “I’m from the government & I’m here to help you” junk but the incumbents of both parties have entrenched each other pretty nicely. It would be better if the Libertarians were the strong challenger party — then maybe the Republicans would have to actually behave, unlike now when Bush spends like a drunken sailor, which is very sad since Kerry promises to spend even more. We need a debate to find the truth; I consider the “Frodo Failed” picture that shows Bush with the ring of power to be spot on — too bad he got it from Clinton; I shudder to think of how recklessly Kerry would use it.

  45. Wow….the term “muckadoo” is spreading around in the liberal blogosphere. Frank must be so proud. 🙂
And don’t flatter yourself Ian, I wouldn’t waste time insulting you. Muckadoo is simply a term used to describe some liberals. I don’t consider it an insult, more of the truth. Let’s face it; most liberals (not saying YOU, because I don’t really know your politics, and frankly I don’t care to) take their “information” from places like CNN, or ::shudder:: the DNC. They don’t take the time to research things. From BOTH sides of the arguement. And don’t even say anything about me, because I have researched my standings. Most people (some, not many, conservatives included) just take what they are told by the media as the truth. I don’t know if that’s how Frank intended the term “muckadoo”, but that’s how I take it. Monkey see monkey do. It just describes the reality of the majority of the democratic party. So don’t even think I bothered to insult you.
LOL JB…..for the illiteracy comment directed at IWW….Iraqwarwrong? I think there are a few words missing from that sentence….we aren’t cavemen here people.

  46. DixieDarlin’ – you did call Ian a name – one to which most of the deserving are so very sensitive: LIBERAL.
Ask just about any liberal if he/she/it will admit to being “A LIBERAL”. Nope. Won’t happen.
    Love ya hon’!

  47. Yes, I am a LIBERAL. No amount of right-wing piss and vinegar is going to make that an insult in my eyes!
The problem is that the word “liberal” has become oversimplified by right-wing types who want it to be a stereotype. Whatever, though. I know what I believe, and I believe what I see. What I see here is thought that I don’t necessarily agree with, but want to understand. What I’ll never understand is why anyone who makes less than $100,000 per year or otherwise isn’t an oil or defense exec could possibly support Bush.
    Have a great weekend!

  48. Ian, speaking as a man that makes under 40k a year and works outside of above business I’ll spell it out plain and simple. I don’t feel the need 1) for the goverment to love me and nurture me,
    2) for it to take money from someone else to enrich me or 3) support the party that attacks Haiti (I was there) or Bosnia (hardly a threat to us) but wants to ignore Iraq (that shot out our airmen thousands of times over the last 12 or 13 years. I’ll make my on way, Ian. I am so sick of you Libs picking my pockets for your programs. Wanna do charity? Then freakin’ start one and convince people to give. But drop the freakin attitude!

  49. “I’m going to keep track of the number of times he mentions the fact he served in Vietnam during his speech.
Hmmm — might make a good drinking game. 🙂
    -julie
Already been done the guys in AA now.
See previous post…. can’t remember which…. and I am sure Frank J. has more important things to do, like win more money towards that engagement ring.
A very wise man once said, “I will not sacrifice with that which costs me nothing” (My paraphrase).

  50. Ha! Ian says we oversimplify the meaning of ‘liberal’ as the man who led a lynch mob to murder was an honored speaker at the Dems convention, and even the media grudgingly admits that the speakers were stifled from their ordinary Bush==Hitler rants.

  51. Ian, you said:
” What I’ll never understand is why anyone who makes less than $100,000 per year or otherwise isn’t an oil or defense exec could possibly support Bush.”
I, too, make less than $100,000 per year. But I bring home more now because of President Bush’s tax cuts…and more than I ever did under Clinton. And Kerry would tax my income bracket even more…and you know Kerry’s friends (who make over 100K a year, way over) will have all the tax loopholes that I can not get. (I should know. I worked for a tax accountant. And guess what…most of his wealthy clients were very rich Liberals/Democrats and paid very little in taxes.) Clinton’s administration did abolutely nothing to help me as a then-divorced, struggling single parent. (I guess he would rather have me abort my children, than I wouldn’t have to worry about finances so much.) But I must thank Clinton for one thing. His immoral actions in the White House reaffirmed my determination that any future husband of mine would have moral clarity, and share my conservative political and religious beliefs. And blessed by God, I found such a man!!(Love ya, Rubber(Red)Neck).
    -DixieDarlin’
P.S. Just FYI, Ian, I was one of those Liberal-leaning Democrats. I hated guns and blamed Republicans for everything. But the day after Clinton’s re-election, I called and changed my voter’s registration to Republican. Both sides can have idiots. But you must choose the side that represents your beliefs the best. The Republican Party and its standards have done far, far more for me than the Democrats ever did. If you rejoice in being a Liberal, bully for you. But I changed, and so can you. Have a wonderful weekend, yourself.
    And:
    Pax Domini sit Semper Vobiscum

    Wow! You are so cool.
I have to start collecting all these great arguments so I can post them on Hello Infidels!
    Pax Domini sit semper
vobiscum. = May the peace of the Lord always be with you (plural).

  53. Here’s how Bush’s tax plan works:
    1) The top percentiles (40 percetn to the top one percent) get filet mignon
    2) The next 25 percent get thrown a bone
    3) Everyone else fights for the crumbs (in case you don’t recall, the $300 you got in 2001 was an advance on the following year’s taxes; your taxes the following year were most likely that much HIGHER the next year (at least that’s how it was for my far-right friend who grudgingly conceded that that was a bad idea). And guess what! If you did get that $300, you’re never getting it again!

  54. Ian:
    Please read:
    Lesson on Paying Taxes
Let’s put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand.
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner.
The bill for all ten comes to $100.
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes,
it would go something like this:
    The first four men-the poorest-would pay nothing;
    The fifth would pay $1:
    The sixth would pay $3;
    The seventh $7;
    The eighth $12;
    The ninth $18.
    The tenth man-the richest-would pay $59.
That’s what they decided to do. The ten men ate dinner in the
restaurant every day and seemed quite happy with the
arrangement-until one day, the owner threw them a curve.
“Since you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to
reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20.” So now dinner for the
ten only cost $80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way
    we pay our taxes.
So the first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for
free. But what about the other six-the paying customers?
How could they divvy up the $20 windfall so that everyone would get
    his “fair share?”
The six men realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they
subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the
sixth man would end up being paid to eat their meal.
So the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce
each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to
work out the amounts each should pay.
And so the fifth man paid nothing, the sixth pitched in $2, the
seventh paid $5, the eighth paid $9, the ninth paid $12, leaving
the tenth man with a bill of $52 instead of his earlier $59.
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four
    continued to eat for free.
But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their
    savings.
“I only got a dollar out of the $20,” declared the sixth man.
He pointed to the tenth. “But he got $7!”
“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a
dollar, too. It’s unfair that he got seven times more than me!”
“That’s true!” shouted the seventh man.
“Why should he get $7 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all
    the breaks!”
“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison. “We didn’t
get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The rich will get tax breaks no matter what through legal maneuvering(sp?) and creative accounting, whether they be Democrat or Republican or Liberal or whatever. However….A POOR MAN NEVER GAVE ME A JOB!!!!
The Democrats’ tax plans, generally, HURT moderate and lower income more than they help.

  55. Well I checked out your site Ian. I think you are posing as a liberal to get laid with hippy chicks. They are so easily misled that they make easy targets for you. You just give them a little weed and discuss “globalization” and the “environment” and they spread like warm peanut butter. If I’m wrong, prove it by having content worthy of your position as a leftist.

  56. What all of your tax debates miss is payroll taxes. It’s true that the poorest don’t pay income taxes, but they more than make up for that with the taxes they pay for Social Security, FICA, etc. If you make less than $61,000/year, then you are getting HAMMERED by this. Bush’s cuts do not decrease them; in fact, they go up to make up for the cuts for the rich. And remember, anyone making more than $61,000 are not burdened by payroll taxes.
As for my site, Carl, I guess you got me on that one! I just LOOOVE hippie chicks.

  57. Ian,
Where do I begin with the flaws…
    Okay, here we go:
    1. “As thin as our great military is being spread all across the world in the quest for freedom and oil”
Huh? Where is the oil in Afganistan? In case you haven’t noticed we didn’t take a drop of oil in Iraq (although we should)
    2. “I think we should REQUIRE all homosexual men and women to join the military, and go out and fight for the freedom that the rest of us value so much.”
Not a flaw, here…Gays make great shields and the Islamic fundmentalists are extremely sympathetic toward homos.
    3. “Supposedly, Adolf Hitler had his aides injected him with methamphetamines several times a day during the crumbling of the Third Reich.”
Your comparison of Hitler to Bush is outright wrong and irresponsible, but it proves your hatred and disdain for a human being.
    4. “If you know anything about meth, you know that it makes you really PARANOID (or, at the very least, wide awake). So that was probably a bad idea.”
Fortunatley, Ian, I don’t know about meth. Obviously you do.
    5. “The article doesn’t mention the Hitler connection, but does compare Bush’s behavior to the late-term antics of Nixon (talking to presidential portraits) and Reagan (early-onset Alzheimer’s).”
I would rather have a president talk to portraits, kills terrorists and lowers taxes than have one who wraps himself in the same flag he was burning with his loser Nam buddies 30 years ago. Or a president who chucks his and others’ medals over the White House fence and then claims he will use “whatever force necessary” to stop terrorism . Or a president that would blow up every bridge on the Danube in order to cover the cum stains on a dress or vagina juice on a cigar.
    6. “I’ve been called a “muckadoo” on IMAO almost as many times as Bush has IQ points”
You are a muckadoo and graduating from Harvard business school with a master’s takes a little more brains than you are giving him credit for.
7.”True fact: Michael Savage’s last name is actually Weiner!]”
And you forgot to mention: He is a Jooooo!
I’ll finish later…I have a job that I need to tend to and you ruined my lunch hour. I’ll take it out by praying to Jesus (who you despise) for you to come to your senses. Besides, hippy chicks smell like tuna.

    1. You know Bush wanted that oil in Iraq the minute he took office. And what about the pipeline in Afghanistan? It isn’t carrying heroin!
    2. “Gays make great shields and the Islamic fundmentalists are extremely sympathetic toward homos.”
      Um…okay.
    3. “Your comparison of Hitler to Bush is outright wrong and irresponsible, but it proves your hatred and disdain for a human being.”
But is it wrong? They both have doctors shooting them up with drugs. It’s an observation.
    4. “Fortunatley [sic], Ian, I don’t know about meth. Obviously you do.”
That’s because I READ. I’ve never done drugs in my life.
    5. “I would rather have a president talk to portraits, kills terrorists and lowers taxes than have [Kerry] Or a president that would blow up every bridge on the Danube in order to cover the cum stains on a dress or vagina juice on a cigar [Clinton].”
Um, as I recall, Clinton was chastised by both the intelligence community and Repubs alike for going after Osama because he wanted to distract attention from MONICA! Uh huh…
6.”graduating from Harvard business school with a master’s takes a little more brains than you are giving him credit for.”
Under Harvard and Yale’s admission-points systems at the time, Bush got 25 points alone for his name. Only in the past few years have the Ivy League schools abandoned the legacy policy.
    6. “And you forgot to mention: He is a Jooooo!”
??? Is that supposed to mean something? I favor no religion over the other. They can all be seriously misused, just like they are now.
      “you ruined my lunch hour.”
Not my fault I was on your mind.
“I’ll take it out by praying to Jesus (who you despise)”
I despise those who use religion to push their very immoral policies.
“Besides, hippy chicks smell like tuna.”
      How would you know?
  58. Can you give me an example of Immoral Christianity? And don’t give me that Crusades, shit. If them damn Arabs didn’t push their way into Europe, the Christians wouldn’t have had to beat em back to the desert.

  59. “Can you give me an example of Immoral Christianity?”
    -The Spanish Inquisition
    -Manifest Destiny
    -Slavery
    -The Holocaust
    -Apartheid
-Pedophile Priests (that scandal started in my hometown)
-The current war on terror, framed by Bush as a “crusade” against the middle east (and interpreted that way by fundie Muslims, right or wrong)
ALL major instances of genocide. ALL spurred by perverted Christian doctrine. And, like you said, the big daddy of them all…
“And don’t give me that Crusades, shit. If them damn Arabs didn’t push their way into Europe, the Christians wouldn’t have had to beat em back to the desert.”
This is an ignorant statement. First off, Europeans have been colonizing every corner of the earth for centuries. Second, the crusaders took the fight to their home turf and tried to take that too. Why are you letting the Europeans off the hook for that? What’s the difference?

  60. Ian…can you get caught up with the times, please? I realize it is difficult to let of past events. All religions have gone through a period of reform, Ian, excpet the Muslims.
Although the Inquisition originally began to purify the nation from heretics, it came to have more materialistic, racial, and political motives, instead of just purification. There was an archdeacon named Martinez who continually tried to incite the people to purge themselves of the “dirty” Jewish citizens. After several reproaches by the Spanish Cardinal and the Pope, Martinez finally succeeded, through force. So please don’t denounce the religion of Christianity because of one man’s hatred that began a horrible chain of events 700 years ago.
    Maifest Destiny:
It was the Catholic church and Mexico’s military that tried to defend the northern frontier from the expansion. Remeber Ian, it is only the Americans who were generous enough to set land aside for Natives. No other conquering country has ever done that. Besides, I’m glad we have all of this land. You should be, too, since California is the home of liberal thought and hippy chicks.
    Slavery:
Huh? Who sold the slaves to the dirty mean Christians, Ian? Or do you think the Pope was out there with nets?
    The Holocaust:
NAZI Germany wanted there to be a state religion worshipping Hitler, Ian. You must have went to public school. More Christians and Catholics were killed and gassed than the Jews during the holocaust.
    Apartheid:
I’m not sure of why your’re blaming Christianity for that one. Unless you think that all Euros are devout Christians…
    Pedophile Priests:
Unfortunatley we are really talking about homosexuals here. There are so many more pedophilia cases in the secular public school system, then anywhere else, Ian. The church will cleanse the homosexuals from the leadership. Will the secular schools bounce the homos?
I’m sorry that you are sympathetic toward the terrorists. I’m not sure if you are aware of the atrocites in the Sudan right now. Or the homicide bombings in Israel. Or the 1000 year fight in Kashmir. Let me ask you, what does the Hindu/Muslim fight over Kashmir have anything to do with Christianity? It is the Muslims that need reform, Ian.
I appreciate your attempt at bashing my religion. Why do you continue to nail my Savior to the cross? I am done with this post, Ian…I will not educate you anymore. You can always come to my blog if you want.
    Thanks for the conversation
    -Carl

  61. “Although the Inquisition originally began to purify the nation from heretics, it came to have more materialistic, racial, and political motives, instead of just purification.”
So there’s nothing racial about “purification?” Where have you been?
“So please don’t denounce the religion of Christianity because of one man’s hatred that began a horrible chain of events 700 years ago.”
That horrible chain is exactly what’s below:
“It was the Catholic church and Mexico’s military that tried to defend the northern frontier from the expansion.”
Mexico had held that land for hundreds of years.
“it is only the Americans who were generous enough to set land aside for Natives.”
Only after nearly wiping them out and violating almost every treaty ever signed with them.
“Huh? Who sold the slaves to the dirty mean Christians, Ian?”
Who bought them out of a feeling of Biblical justification? Slavery is a big YES! in the Bible.
“NAZI Germany wanted there to be a state religion worshipping Hitler, Ian. You must have went to public school. More Christians and Catholics were killed and gassed than the Jews during the holocaust.”
The main groups killed were Jews, homosexuals and gypsies. Hitler was a devout Catholic and used that stance to political advantage. Read any book about him. And yes, I did go to public school, where they teach REAL history.
“I’m not sure of why your’re blaming Christianity for that one. Unless you think that all Euros are devout Christians…”
All European/white supremacy is based on a fundamentalist Judeo-Christian doctrine. Apartheid has established because the whites (Afrikaaners) felt that they were the most perfect creation in the world, at least politically.
“Unfortunatley [sic] we are really talking about homosexuals here. There are so many more pedophilia cases in the secular public school system, then anywhere else, Ian. The church will cleanse the homosexuals from the leadership. Will the secular schools bounce the homos?”
What we’re talking about is the church’s insane rules on celibacy, as well as its refusal to back a zero-tolerance policy. And don’t try telling someone who spent 14 1/2 years in public preschool and grade school (as well as 7 years of public college and post-college study) that there’s more incidents of pedophilia than in an institution where sex is repressed to the boiling point and taken out on children.
“I’m sorry that you are sympathetic toward the terrorists.”
    You WISH.
“I’m not sure if you are aware of the atrocites in the Sudan right now. Or the homicide bombings in Israel. Or the 1000 year fight in Kashmir. Let me ask you, what does the Hindu/Muslim fight over Kashmir have anything to do with Christianity?”
I think your religious beliefs are blinding you to the fact that Islam and Christianity alike are both being perverted by fundies who are using those beliefs to destroy people all over the world. As for the atrocities you mention, well it’s too bad there’s no oil there. Because if there’s one thing the Bush administration loves more than religious bigotry, it’s oil.
“I appreciate your attempt at bashing my religion. Why do you continue to nail my Savior to the cross?”
I’m not bashing, just questioning. As far as I know, advocating the death of other human beings, as well as bearing false witness, are not tenets of the faith. Religious wars are going to destroy us all if we’re not willing to listen to the other side without taking it all so personally.
“I am done with this post, Ian…I will not educate you anymore. You can always come to my blog if you want.”
I will. If you want me to have the last word, then, cool…

  62. Ian, the last word is mine, monkey.
Your public schooling is apparent. Considering that you twisted the facts of Hitler, your entire post is false. I cannot take anything you say as factual:
The allegation is sometimes made that Hitler was a Catholic – a Christian until the day he died. This claim is based upon the fact that Hitler was born and raised in a Catholic family.
However, as an adult, Hitler specifically rejected the Catholic Church, as well as Christianity in general. He described himself as “a complete pagan”.
The book Hitler’s Secret Conversations: 1941-1944, published by Farrar, Straus and Young, Inc. (1953), contains definitive proof of Hitler’s real views. The book was published in Britain under the title, Hitler’s Table Talk: 1941-1944, which title was used for the Oxford University Press paperback edition in the United States.
Aren’t you a pagan, Ian? Please stop embarrassing yourself. I guess Mother Theresa is a “fundie” who ruined lives, too, huh?
Please bring your argument up to date. In today’s world–the world we all live in now–what Christian fundamentalists are “ruining” lives? I can name countries in plight all over the world due to radical Islamic doctrine.

  63. “Ian, the last word is mine, monkey.”
    Keep trying, dog.
“your entire post is false. I cannot take anything you say as factual:”
You sure did take time to refute everything I said, though!
“However, as an adult, Hitler specifically rejected the Catholic Church, as well as Christianity in general. He described himself as “a complete pagan”.”
Hitler used Catholicism–and religion in general–to justify himself as the highest power on earth. Even if he didn’t use Catholicism (the particular religion is not the indictment here), he did use some kind of God-invoking to justify himself. He sure wasn’t Jewish.
“The book Hitler’s Secret Conversations: 1941-1944, published by Farrar, Straus and Young, Inc. (1953), contains definitive proof of Hitler’s real views…”
Mein Kampf is also an enlightening read, the words of Hitler himself.
“I guess Mother Theresa is a ‘fundie’ who ruined lives, too, huh?”
Actually, Mother Teresa practiced a little hypocrisy herself. Her centers, as she called them, were “houses of the dying.” She had millions upon millions in the bank for her foundation, which sat unused when it could have saved lives. And when she died, she was surrounded by modern cardiac machinery.
“In today’s world–the world we all live in now–what Christian fundamentalists are ‘ruining’ lives? I can name countries in plight all over the world due to radical Islamic doctrine.”
Look at our administration. Bush is sending a message that we are fighting a “crusade” against “evildoers” to “rid the world of evil.” Bush is the most fundie president we’ve ever had, and it shows in his stifling religious policies such as funding certain churches, cutting off aid for birth-control programs, appointing John Ashcroft and many, many other RR types, etc. Is it any wonder that al-Qaida has had a surge of recruits? We’re fighting hellfire with hellfire, and everyone’s getting burned.
