This sucks. I tried and tired for years while on active duty to get a “hat waiver” caused it messed up my hair, but no. This chick gets a “gun waiver”. I was obviously in the wrong military.
As part of the ongoing effort to strenthen ties with our allies, I proudly volunteer to carry her weapons for her!
Not only that, I will also crawl butt naked over five miles of busted glass and rusty barbed wire just to sniff the exhaust coming from the truck taking her skivvies to the cleaners.
I don’t think that whole bit about carrying an assault rifle ruins her model shoots is going to do a whole lot for women’s lib.

Unfortunately, as the article points out, she specifically got permission to be unarmed. So she’s a beauty queen who is an unarmed soldier…
