Curling Update

We lost. The men’s team lost to Germany and Norway, and the women’s team to Japan. A bleak, bleak beginning to this Olympics. For fans of curling, i.e., true patriots, it is hard to be in good spirits right now. Still, the women take on Germany and the men take on Switzerland today, and it’s time to show them all who truly is the greatest country in the world.

To get you pumped, here’s a music video made to Johnathan Coulton’s song about American curling:

  1. Frank, would you be interested in creating Frank TV? Frank TV could show re-runs of MST3K. And during the Olympics, you wouldn’t repeat NBC’s idiocy. You would show curling and hockey in primtime, not ice dancing.

  2. So I guess America will have to be absorbed back into Great Britain since we have lost at the most awesomest sport ever. It’ll be hard to switch to God Save the Queen instead of The Star Spangled Banner and throw away all my bald eagle paintings. But, at least now we all have free health-care and we’ll get to see a lot more Monty Python skits.

  3. Thanks, Frank. I just learned the rules for curling and interesting trivia (the turn of the 20th century was the golden age of curling stone factories), and now I have to wait another four years for the next televised match. By that time I will have forgotten the rules and intricacies of curling.
