So we have Chicago schools banning homemade lunches so the government can control what nutrition children are getting, and the Boston mayor has banned sugary drinks from public property. And then you have those trans-fats, salt, and Happy Meals bans, and you just have to conclude that a certain segment of the left have completely given up on the concept of freedom. I mean, they may think freedom is okay and stuff, but just look at all the great benefits we can get from controlling what people can and can’t do!
We really need someone to go to these people and say, “I’m afraid you and America just aren’t working out. I just think we’re not compatible.” We can have lots of debates on a different issues, but when people don’t even get the concept of freedom at all, it’s kind of pointless. Maybe it’s a failure of schools. Who knows what they’re teaching there now, but when you see elected representatives throwing fits over not being able to spend billions of other people’s dollars willy nillly, obviously schools aren’t teaching the really important things like the concept of freedom and how people’s property is their own. In the least, we need like a remedial freedom course for people to take — especially elected officials — and if you’re unable to pass it, we’ll find you a new country that’s a better fit.
Now we just have to come up with some good questions for our remedial freedom test. Here are some examples:
Q. You have one apple, Bob has ten apples. How many apples of his are you allowed to confiscate?
Q. You think what someone is eating is unhealthy. Do you:
A. Inform them of your opinion, but take no other action.
B. Call the police.Q. The Constitution…
A. …is always binding to protect people from government encroachment.
B. …doesn’t apply if you think the law you are passing is a really really good idea.Q. Private industry…
A. …is the best way to go in almost all situations.
B. …should only be used as a last resort.Q. Freedom…
A. …is for everyone.
B. …is not for people I’m really sure I’m smarter than.
Again, math, science, and history are secondary to understanding freedom. When people don’t understand this stuff, that’s when the country really gets into trouble.
Will the punishment for failure by an elected official be a musket to the junk?
Well, one can’t understand freedom without a good knowledge of history. That’s why the termites have been modifying our history textbooks for a couple of generations now. As a result, many people actually believe we were wrong to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima. As a matter of fact, America is filled with “scholars” who are (in)famous for writing many, many “books” about history – most of which are decidedly false.
When I become dictator, most textbooks will be written by robots, John Keegan, Lewis Sorley, and the ghost of Thucydides.
We must point out that sexual choices affect people’s health and happiness 1000 times more than food choices, and since they have set the precedent of governments’ making people healthy, we will now be in charge of who can sleep with whom.
I had a teacher for “global history” that tried to get people to belive that we were wrong to drop the bombs, thankfuly even in 10th grade I was a right wing smart ass who wouldnt keep his mouth shut.
In the 11th grade, I got kicked-out of my U.S. History class for repeatedly arguing with the teacher. I kid you not. The guy was an actual, card-carrying, registered member of the communist party. Back then, he was an anomaly. Today, I’m not so sure he would be.
I was always getting kicked out of high school classes for arguing with my teachers. I spent many an hour in detention along with the nardaywells after school. I had an A in English Literature my Senior year and so I refused to do the “extra credit” assignment. The teacher told me I had to do it… I told her “I already have an A, I don’t need extra credit”… She started crying and hauled me down to the principles office. I ended up copying King Lear’s Cliff Notes verbatim…and got a B in the class! Fortunately I got a full ride to Iowa to play my trumpet or I would still be working in the grocery store in Mason City, Iowa!
Had a teacher, however tried to take away my chocolate milk, then we would have had a different discussion. Said teacher would have had a fat lip and I would have had some free time at home!!! But, I would have been free free free!
So…where to send those who fail.
For the women, I’m thinkin’ Iran or Saudi Arabia. They like their women folk all lippy and such! For the men, I think Siberia! I have this picture of really hairy large women that will take a hankerin’ to their new man folk and if these guys get mouthy with the Russians there is always a vacation in the Gulag to look forward to…

The answer is obvious: San Francisco
Dang! I answered C to all of the questions.
C. Punch a hippie in the face and sing the theme song to Team America: World Police
Q. A person is entitled to…
a. the fruits of their labors.
b. the fruits of his neighbors labors, if his neighbor has more than him.
Q. A government big enough to give you everything you want, …
a. should.
b. is strong enough to take everything you have.
Hate to burst your bubble but they don’t teach history in schools anymore. The vast majority of history teachers are coaches because you know they really need coaches but any idiot can teach history.
Hence the situation in which we find ourselves. An ignorant, uninterested electorate and people in charge who don’t have the least idea how the country works or what it was founded for.
I wish I didn’t know this from personal experience…………..but I do.
I was just discussing this with my cousin the other day. He said they were having a debate in his 10th grade history class about nuking Japan, and only he and one other kid supported it. However, he and the one other freedom loving kid in the class had many more and better arguments than the rest of the indoctrinated morons.
He said the (pinko-commie) teacher was surprised and tried to help the hapless young liberals, but still didn’t really have an answer for some of his points.
I was so proud. Even more so when he asked me the next day for reasons why unions suck, for another debate with a classmate.
Ernie, that’s pretty much what my experience was, except it was me and one other student vs the teacher and one student. This was pretty much every class day and she wasn’t used to having students who knew more about both sides than she did about hers.
Q. The result of an increase in the income tax rate from 25% to 30% will be:
a. a 20% increase in tax collected, because 30% is 20% more than 25%
b. an increase of less than 20%, or possibly even a decrease, because people will have an incentive to realize less income when tax rates are increased
The problem is not that there are crazy people and fascists (such people always exist) in spite of their small numbers they and their sympathizers are in almost total control of such huge fundamental things like media to education to the very machinery of government.
People like me saw all of this was coming during the Bush years and kept warning we needed to turn money and power over to the states ASAP. But, most on the right did were on cruise control during the Bush years and still fail to understand the lefts will for crusade and the combined size of its alliance.
You can’t burst my bubble, seanmahairmama. But I’d like to see you try! (My bubble has already done bursted years ago.)
Glad to hear that, Ernie. Tell the kid that, when last I checked, around 88,000 Japanese civilians died on Okinawa during the battle (According to Eagle Against The Sun) while more than 100,000 Japanese civilians died at Hiroshima. I can’t remember how many died at Nagasaki, but I believe it was less than 100,000.
With that in mind, we next must take into consideration the massive casualties suffered by the Japanese military in every single land battle they fought (The invasion of Japan would have been vastly larger than Okinawa) and the “regret” the Japanese Army felt for the stark reality that they would be unable to evacuate the people from Japan from any of the battlefields. Finally, we must take into consideration the U.S. Army estimate of nearly 700,000 U.S. casualties just in the invasion of Kyushu!
The Japanese had no intention of surrendering before Hiroshima. In fact, they did not make up their minds totally until after the Soviet entry into the war and the bombing of Nagasaki. Even then, a group of radicals tried to continue the fighting and nearly stole a critical radio recording of the Emperor.
Many, perhaps even most, Americans think we were wrong to drop Little Boy and Fat Man. There are few greater testaments to the success of the socialist movement in dumbing us down.
Preach it Marko !!! Dead on accurate.
Q. A person is entitled to…
a. the fruits of their labors.
b. the fruits of his neighbors labors, if his neighbor has more than him.
c. The fruits of the neighbor’s labors, whether or not the neighbor has more thsn him, based upon the idealogical affiliation the neighbor.
I once used the following argument to shut up a friend who was arguing that we shouldn’t have dropped the bombs,
“Well, if we hadn’t, there’s a decent chance that I might not be here talking to you right now. Because I might never have been born. Because my father would never have been born. Because his father might have died on a Japanese beach. ”
My grandfather was a sailor on a landing ship, the kind that grounded on the beach and off-loaded tanks and equipment. He participated in the invasion of Luzon, and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. His ship was so slow and vulnerable they didn’t even bother naming them. It was simply USS LSM 133. When the bombs were dropped he was off Okinawa with hundreds of other ships preparing for the invasion of Japan.
Q: “Government budget deficit” means:
A. The government is spending more money than it has, and must borrow from foreign countries that hate America to make up the difference.
B. The rich aren’t paying enough taxes.
Q: How do you feel about the fact that the next several generations are going to have to pay for the current spending of this generation?
A. That is evil and wrong.
B. Woo-hoo! I aborted my own kids, let the snot-nosed offspring of the Bible-clinging over-breeders pay for all these necessary “investments” in green energy, social justice, economic equality and the roll-back of global warming. Their presence is and will be destroying Gaia, serves ’em right.
how about a ‘politics’ license. they have to pass the final exam before they can be elected. Proof of citizenship required.
Marko, are you by chance related to a Matt SLN? Used to work at Bear, Sterns?
BTW< Love your analysis……….spot on……….
