No one wants Romney to be the nominee, but everyone is willing to fall in line behind him and that may be all it takes.

When the White House calls the Weiner scandal a “distraction”, are they complaining?

Romney: “And I will be easily able to identify Obamacare to repeal it since it looks just like my Romneycare.”

My vote to whoever punches John King in the face.

Why is half the time I’m wondering if the people asking questions in the debate are real Republicans?

How about they have a Republican debate where they get known Republican pundits to come up with the questions?

Having CNN come up with questions to pick a Republican is like having an accountant come up with questions to pick a computer programmer.

It’s either eminent domain or energy dependence? Dumbest question ever.

I’m a Republican trying to figure out who to support. I do not care about these questions.

Smart candidate would pretend a good question was asked and answer that instead.

Dumb questions while King says “Uh… Ah…” during their answers… pretty good for a CNN GOP debate.

Romney did remind me in this debate how much I could put up with him if I absolutely had to.

I don’t remember seeing Newt in the debate. He’s dead to me.

I think Obama’s biggest liability going into the 2012 election is that he’s a useless moron.

Who is “everyone”? I assume you speak of the Establishment.

I’m not halfheartedly cheering for another McCain. Never again. If they nominate Romney, I may write-in Chesty Puller, I may write-in my own father’s name, or I may write-in Whitey Herzog, but I will not be voting for Mitt Romney.

Why is half the time I’m wondering if the people asking questions in the debate are real Republicans?

It works like a charm when Fred Thompson is one of the candidates.

Sadly, the GOP may quite possibly nominate a snapping turtle with no snap.

Random thought: There are mockingbirds building a nest in a butterfly bush next to my deck and my grill. Mockingbirds can recognize individual humans who “threaten” their nests. Mockingbirds will aggressively defend their nests from all comers. Being pecked to death by a songbird does not strike me as a noble exit from this life.

  2. @Marko.
I stand with you. I will not be voting for romney either. If the republicans let the democrats choose their nominee again as they did with mccain, I will vote no other republican candidate either. Its time for republicans to man up and grow a pair. Michell Bachmann has a bigger set than romney, boehner, gingrich, or pawlenty. Cain/Bachmann, Bachmann/Cain, either will do.

Could be worse, could be stuck talking to jo-jo biden.

“I think Obama’s biggest liability going into the 2012 election is that he’s a useless moron.”
I bet he shines a mean shoe and gets a great cup of coffee!

  3. “Romney did remind me in this debate how much I could put up with him if I absolutely had to.”

That’s because you’re currently putting up with Obama. If given a choice between a communist and a conservative Democrat, of course you’ll choose the later.

    Big government Republicans… aren’t.

  4. Romney…Obama, Romney…Obama…mmm…let’s toss the race from a RINO to a socialist. I dislike Romney, but I have enduring, visceral, spiteful, all-encompassing loathing for Obama. Whom do we want to punish on election day? On that day, I’m not going to do the, “I’m taking my toys and going home.”

My vote to whoever any Republican who punches John King anyone in the face. (FIFM)

@Marko: If the mocking bird pecks your eyes out, should we call you Oedipus Marko?

  5. I beg you to ignore this, if you please, but the weight must be removed from my chest.

I can’t stomach someone who supports socialist healthcare, someone who wouldn’t truly fight for the principles of the Republican Party! I can’t vote for someone who would be the same tired old story. I can’t do it, my friends.

My friends, I loath Obama more than I can even describe with words. The last one hundred years of American history, from the 17th Amendment to ObamaCare, offers me nothing but anger and frustration. Obama does not, of course, realize he is yet another crooked politician following in the footsteps of Woodrow, Franklin, Harry, Lyndon, Jimmy, Teddy, and so many others. I do. The disease never stops growing, or so it seems. I will fight it to the best of my own abilities, but I cannot vote for someone who is yet another Republican with no ability and/or no will to fight to make things right again. I’m tired of the same process repeating itself constantly. If the same old Republican is nominated yet again, I will do what I should be able to do anyway: cast a Presidential vote for a man or woman who actually represents the principles of this nation as conceived by the Founders and as fought for by Grant and Sherman and Major Winters.

I promise I won’t complain incessantly or even argue with you all if Romney or someone like Romney is nominated. But, my friends, I’m not voting for futility anymore.

  6. If Frank J endorses Romney I will…well…like hold my breath forever or something! Then I will stamp my feet and beat my fists against something!!! That will be not very cool and very ghey of Frank J! A large check must have arrived from the RNC or GOP along with a promise of more to come for “falling in line”… I told you that FOX News had him downstairs with his nads wired to a 12 volt battery but none of you believed me!! See!! You will listen to old ussjimmycarter in the future! I know stuff…

  7. “Why is half the time I’m wondering if the people asking questions in the debate are real Republicans?”

You mean like the guy who wants nothing to do with the Tea Party because he’s a “regular Republican”? Umm…okay, sure.

  8. Thank for the explanation, Marko. I guess you could put it this way: If the Republicans nominated a pedophile, I’d sit the election out, too. That is to say, each of us have our own limit beyond which we will not go. For me, Romney is close, but not beyond. For you, he is beyond. We should prolly refer to USSJC’s predictions for the Romney/Obama debate. I’d still cast my vote at Romney, but now I understand the machinations of your mind.

  9. We’re all in a State of Futility, Marko, my friend. Hell, I’m in the Soviet State of Washington!

No, seriously, I share your reluctance. What scares me about Romney is that he’s basically a statist. And he’s very good at management. He could succeed at all the things Obama is flubbing at and then we’d REALLY be screwed! Romney has the mental tools to run an efficient, totalitarian state just like a business. That’s my fear about Romney.

And my other fear? Half the electorate actually does believe in Communism. It’s why we have what we have. So many people in this country are just, plain screwed-up in the head.

  10. @Burma
If we don’t start drawing the line, we cannot complain when the next rino sticks it to us. Yes we may get stuck with super stupid for another four years. It would be almost fitting that a marxist is in charge when the nation collapses because 50% + people of this place are to stupid to understand freedom is tough. When there is no more business, no more work, and no more money, the parasites will die, then maybe we can start over. But as long as people keep arranging the same deck chairs, instead of buying new furniture, we will continue spiraling toward the sun.
I for one will not be part of that, when the republicans nominated mccain instead of a real conservative, I realized the republicans and marxists were the same party. If we continue to support whatever they toss up, we are doomed. You may as well plan on being a slave to the parasites and the gubmunt, because republican or marxist, people like romney, gingrich, pawlenty, super stupid, and huntsman want the same thing.

  11. I too cannot vote for Romney. I wouldn’t have voted for McCain except for Palin.

I would rather have a 4 year fail fest led by a Dem than a Rino.

The Dems have an ability to blame their failures on republicans and take credit for the success that happens when we back away from their crappy socialist ideas. It is harder to play that game when your guy is still holding the ball.

Worst case I vote for the libertarian over a bad republican

  12. There is something wrong with Romney! He buggers sheep or something! Nobody…and I mean NOBODY is that squeaky clean! After the press is done with the 24,000 Palin emails, they will start digging and then they will find out what the chink is in the armor, but will they release it? Nooooooooo! They will wait for you rubes in the Republican party to nominate this stiff…then they will drop the hammer!!! Then 4 more years of Obamanation!!!

  13. I would vote for _________(fill in the blank) before I’d vote for Obama.
    a bucket of luke-warm vomit,
a bucket of luke-warm vulture vomit,
    a seeping anal polyp,
    a triple root-canal without Novocain,
    a do-it-yourself vasectomy with a rusty tin-can lid,
    Congressman Anthony Wiener,
    (in that order.)
