If the Tea Party rallies behind Herman Cain, it’s really going to send mixed signals about us hating Obama for being black.
Been quite a contest to figure out who gets to be Rubio’s running mate.
I tried to go to Wall Street, but the door was locked and above the handle it said “Occupied”.
I really like the Watchmen character Rorschach, but he’d definitely be a Ron Paul supporter.
So do we want to nominate Romney now or do we want to keep pretending Cain can pull this off?
Next Republican debate should start with the reminder: “This all you get. You have to pick one of these guys.”
We probably can’t stop Romney, but it’s our duty to try. Everyone rally behind Cain!
RIP Steve Jobs. The iPad is the only thing that’s met my childhood expectations of what 2011 would be like.
Wow. Think of how different tech would be without Jobs’s contribution.
I always find it a sobering reminder of where to place your priorities that extremely rich people can suddenly get cancer too. I doubt for Jobs is was about being rich so much as the thrill of innovating.

“Think of how different tech would be without Jobs’s contribution”
Instead of iPods, iPads, iPhones, and MacBooks, we’d instead be using mp3 players, tablet PC’s, Blackberries, and laptops?
I doubt for Jobs is was about being rich so much as the thrill of innovating.
Frank, you’ve been reading too many spam posts.
“I doubt for Jobs is was about being rich so much as the thrill of innovating.”
Of course having money not standing in the way of thinking didn’t hurt.
“Wow. Think of how different tech would be without Jobs’s contribution.”
Yup! Shreck would have crashed mid poot!
“Been quite a contest to figure out who gets to be Rubio’s running mate.”
Rubio’s been co-opted by the rinos. Run far away.
“If the Tea Party rallies behind Herman Cain, it’s really going to send mixed signals about us hating Obama for being black.”
Wow, Cain is black?! All this time I just thought he was smart and self sufficient. Now I know better.
ROMNEY!! ROMNEY!! ROMNEY!!
/sarc
Rorsach was the only story part I could stand about the movie…
Shiggz Random Thought:
The guys I knew growing up who cared about trendy clothing and music all grew up to be leftists.
Thank you, Stephen. Thank you.
It must be said
-Cain
-Palin
-Romney
-Perry
-Paul
Everyone one of them would be “streets ahead” of Obama!
A good presidents main jobs
-sign/veto bills that congress passes
-don’t embarrass the country
-don’t go on TV if you don’t have something of worth to say
Who of our people would do worse at those things then bowing, endlessly lying and lecturing, churchhill returning, Obama and Biden?
On some websites, people are madly upset with Cain for criticizing Perry and refusing to support him “at this time” if he is the nominee.
Has Cain violated the Republican 11th Commandment?
“Speak no ill of a fellow Republican.”
I don’t think so because Perry is really an Al Gore Democrat. Changing parties and putting an ‘R’ next to your name does not make it so.
Steve Jobs was smart and innovative and had a lot of good ideas others copied and improved. He was also a big time lib who ignored his own success story.
Teh One is in the background yakking and lying. Everytime he says “pass this bill” he sounds more shrill, like the “Remain calm” guy ftom Animal House just before he gets trampled. Frank, can you engineer us a time machine so we can get Jan. 2013 so Presidant Cain can come in and stop these useless press conferances?
The Tea Party is behind Cain because Obama is insufficiently black…
CAIN is black? Wow that changes absolutely nothing
Vote CAIN or feel the pain
Cain didn’t come out on his own and say he wouldn’t back Perry. He was asked about supporting him by someone else and he simply responded honestly; no. That’s not a violation of the 11th.
So who do we think most of Palin’s holdouts will go to? Cain? He’s seems the closest to her ideology and accomplishments. And they both look great in heels.
I’m a Cain guy so I guess I’m a racist because I don’t support Obama who is only .50 percent black…or something…
Now that Sarah Palin is for sure out, things will get a little more interesting. Romney has consistently been pulling only around 20% support. The “anbody but Romney” people need to sort out who they’re going to support.
Perry and Cain seem like the best ABR candidates, but I really don’t see Cain winning the Presidency.
Huntsman, Santorum, Johnson, Bachman, and RON PAUL!1!!1 just need to give it up already, and Newt should be right behind them. A debate with only 3 candidates might actually be helpful for Republican voters in deciding who to support.
Maybe we just hate him ‘cuz he’s only a half-black President? Nah! More like it’s ‘cuz he’s a half-ASSED President!
Dammit @uss! You beat me to it!
@USSJC – BTW .50% is one-half of one percent. (I’m a math major…what can I say?)
Yes, once again under Obama, we are losing our Jobs.
(ducks)
“The GOP base is in search of Not Romney. Romney is a mediocre candidate and about 75% of the GOP seems to know it.” -RedState
Let’s review this assertion:
Perry = Al Gore campaigner (hey, that’s certainly ‘Not Romney!’)
Gingrich = Nancy Pelosi’s infidelity couch companion (hey, she’s ‘Not Romney’s’ type)
Bachmann = Wrong gônads! She couldn’t be Romney if she wanted to be. But does she want to be?
Santorum = Definitely ‘Not Romney’ but I don’t know who he is or why he’s running.
Johnson = Who the hell is he? Doesn’t look like Romney. So, he’s in… I mean out. Wait.
Huntsman = Too odd and even more Liberal to be Romney (so classified as borderline ‘Not Romney’)
Ron Paul = Too crazy to be Romney. Romney doesn’t start troofer shrieking during debates.
and one more… (are there more?)
CAIN! = Black. Definitely ‘Not Romney!!!’
So, they all appear to be ‘Not Romney.’ I’m not finding this “Not Romney” hunt very useful.
CAIN! is the only conservative, self-made, non-politician in the group.
Steve Jobs placed us in danger of exhausting the world supply of smug.
I think I’m going to Hell. I about sprayed coffee at my computer after reading Aaron/16.
Herman Cain is the only man I fantasize about
Hey … did I miss it? Why haven’t you linked your brilliant idea to nuke the moon with your proclivity to punch hippies? Why aren’t you advocating nuking Wall Street? Just asking.
Hell for spitting on your computer? What is this, iSlam?
“I doubt for Jobs is was about being rich so much as the thrill of innovating.”
That’s like saying, “I doubt for the Clintons it was about acquiring power as much as it was about helping others achieve the American Dream.”
Running Cain won’t stop the false accusations of racism from the left. They’ll spin any fantasy they have to about how he’s a paid puppet, an Uncle Tom, part of an elaborate multi-term scheme to fool the world into thinking we’re not the horrid racists they know we truly are. When did logic or hypocrisy ever stop liberals from deluding themselves?
Reminds me of an argument I had with a co-worker and (former) friend who insisted that George Bush was racist. After batting down a few of her myths about GWB, I asked why he would have black people on his cabinet. She claimed it was to hide what a racist he is. When I pointed out that he didn’t just have a token minority but several blacks and Hispanics in key positions like Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State, she said it was because he REALLY wanted to cover up his racism. Why did he save an estimated one million Africans from AIDS? To cover up his racism! In the end she said the reason she knows he’s a racist is because she feels like he is.
Make no mistake, liberalism is quite literally a mental illness.
> liberalism is quite literally a mental illness
True dat.
Performing now in the White House – The Fast and The Furious. I get it, these are the Secret Service code names for Biden and Obama, right?
Rorchach could never support Ron Paul. After all, Rorschach had no moral problems with killing evil people, which Ron Paul apparently is against. Rorschach’s favourite president was actually Truman.
They took our Jobs!
And I’m done.
So, Hot Air posts a link to an NYT article saying, “bla bla bla Cain lacks organization bla bla he’s just using this time to write books yawda.” I’m surprised it took this long for such articles to star flowing. Evidently Cain is a threat.
If only some conservative people weren’t stupid enough to immediately assume that Cain has no shot. What kind of an electoral system is one where people don’t vote their conscience but vote for whoever looks to have the best chance at winning?
One that gave us Obama?
Another thought for the day: The next President is going to have to deal with unmitigated financial disaster of Biblical proportions.
I appreciate the lesson in math. But math sucks! I’m an ideas guy and math is a “today” detail. I can’t be bothered with such nonsense, since I’m already into next week!
Seriously? That’s funny ‘cuz @Jimmy told me that the last time you had an original idea it died of loneliness.
Maybe we can put ‘Not Romney’ on the ballot, and then have a run off between the ‘Not-Romneys’ afterwards?
Wait, how do you pulralize Romney? Romneys, Romnies, Romnese?
The spelling of Pluralize in the above comment was altered by communist monkey hackers.
Not Romney ╪ Not Not Romney
Romney’s ╪ Not Romneys’
Does that help, Karen?
I do think, at a certain point, you have passed enough laws.
I agree. We should make it illegal!
Former Hostage…did you have your mouth full of something when Jimmy told you that? Just sayin…if you know what I’m sayin…I’m not sayin…
Imagine that constitutional amendment – the Amendment that bans all new laws.
I bet it is the nightmare of any politician, and yet they feel the urge to pass it.
I guess they just can’t help themselves.
@USS – so….what are ya sayin????
You losers need to get with the program now! The GOP/RNC plus the Orange Boner are going to nominate Romney! You have no say in the matter! Quit reading silly polls! Do you seriously think that they want someone in office who will try the 9,9,9 tax deal? Of course not! That will not allow them to pick winners and losers in the economy and pass like 200 new tax laws every year, and then there are like 2,000 Revenue Rulings (what the Commissioner of the IRS says) every year and then there are Federal and State Tax Court decisions! What will all of these people do for a living, not to mention all the Tax Attorneys and CPA’s that are getting rich because we are no capable of understanding the current tax code which is probably up to like 200,000 pages!!!
So, here will be your choice in November. Mittens Romney or Barack Obama…:( I’m pretty pumped, I don’t know about you guys!!! Palin, better run as a third party candidate or we are all in deep sh!t!
@USS
Oooohhhh! I get it. I find it telling that when you think of two guys interacting you equate that with sexual activity. Must be a Navy thing…
😉
No, just two certain types of guys like you and Jimmy! Fabulous and all…
ussjimmycarter – All those people you mentioned (IRS employees, tax attorneys, cpa’s, accountants, etc.) – they can go occupy Wall Street! Or pick strawberries.
FormerHostage, I think we have to invite ussjimmycarter into our “Fabulous Club.” The guy’s like Rodney Dangerfield – he just gets no respect. No High Praise from Frank… no slack from us commenters.. nothin’ for the “Little Trooper.” Plus, he hangs out with all ugly women (Rosie, Hillary, The Klingon, Helen…). Why, just the other day, he was seen doing practice jumping jacks in the White House with The French Fries Lady.
What ?
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Okay. You’re probably right.
ussjc …I believe you are absolutely one hundred percent correct. For a politician the power to tax is the greatest power they have except for the power to NOT tax by exempting individuals and corporations from certain taxes. I don’t see the established professionals in either party ever wanting to give up this power. No doubt their ability to get what they want from individuals or corporations by using the tax code as either a carrot, or a club, will be protected at all costs.
@CrustyB #24: “Running Cain won’t stop the false accusations of racism from the left. Already there – Janeane Garofalo (who else?) to Keith Olbermann (who else?) on the Al Gore network(where else? OK, maybe MSNBC): “People like Karl Rove liked to keep the racism very covert. And so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity say you can say ‘Look, this is not a racist, anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look we have a black man.’”
http://republicanredefined.com/2011/09/29/janeane-garofalo-herman-cain-lets-republicans-say-look-we-have-a-black-man/
While watching a video of the Wall Street Protesters, it occurred to me: we have been fattening the Eloi for nigh onto 70 years now. When are we going to eat them.
Steve Jobs placed us in danger of exhausting the world supply of smug.
Absolutely right! Not so much Jobs himself (although he contributed more than his share) as all the Apple moonies. Apple’s competition is companies like Coach and LVMH; people buy the products to show how cool they (the people) are, not because the products have any functions that they need. Apple moonies are a reminder of Bruce Feirstein’s dictum that “middle-aged adolescence is not a pretty thing.”
Also, it is common knowledge in Silicon Valley that Steve Jobs was a first-class prick – not quite in a class with Larry Ellison (he’s a class of one), but certainly the equal of anybody else.
according to MSNBC Frank IS a racist, and his support for Cain proves it!
zzyzx, you hit the nail on the head (or the head on the nail!). This is precisely why we need CAIN! He wants to abolish the tax code with one page of legislation.
Personally Jimmy…I hope he is the nominee, and I will vote for him…..z
It is well known in the industry that Larry Ellison is the King of Prick! I’m a 9,9,9 guy!!! But it will never pass :(…
Liberals are afraid of 9,9,9 because the idiots read the plan upside down and saw 6,6,6!
