Turns Out I’m a Fighter for Social Justice

[High Praise! to Freedom Is Just Another Word]

  1. Said it many times: Justice means punishment. Every stinking time the word is used. Someone’s supposed to be getting the beating end of the stick.

I’m a Catholic, but I can’t stand how so much modern teaching in the church is social justice, economic justice, political justice. Even in the age of Obama and in the wasteland of European faith they don’t understand that Lefties are not their friends and never will be. Stick to the terms compassion, charity, common humanity, even fairness — but leave the justice to the cops and the courts.

  2. @3 – While agreeing that using “social” as a modifier to justice automatically makes the phrase mean “something other than justice”, I’ll quibble that justice means rewarding the good as well as punishing the wicked.

The latter is very important at IMAO, thus the regular handing out of High Praise! and bacon.

  3. social justice means decisions of guilt or innocence based on political dogma and class status not justice as defined as laws equally applied to all.

social justice actually means the unequal aplication of law. for instance George zimmerman is on the receiving end of social justice not because he is guilty of murder (he is not) but becuase he had the temerity to not want to die on his back having his head bashed in by a black teenager.
now if all circumstances had been the same except the teenager trying to end G.Z’s 30 plus year streak of breathing in and out had been white the application of social justice would be entirely unnecessary. the white devil would have gotten what he deserved and G.Z. would have held the social justice title of brave latino who stopped the mad assault from a known dangerous white devil. unfortunately his assailant was black therefore G.Z. had to play the role of white devil. those are the agreed upon social justice rules.
