The good news is that when aliens take over the planet, they won’t shove all humans into battery pods. They’ll just steal all our spare change. And vinegar.
SCIENCE!

pennies, the change obama left us.
You can use a Liberal instead of pennies. Seriously!! And you probably have everything you need to create a Flashlight Liberal in your garage.
1. attach some zinc roof flashing and a black wire to the feet of the Liberal
2. then attach a copper bowl (or a copper plate) with a red wire to the Liberals head
3. and then connect a very small very low voltage light bulb to the two wires.
It does work. Ya see Liberals are good for something! Not much but a good Liberal can power a small flashlight for an hour or two.
But pennies actually work better than Liberals for making batteries. Pennies produce more voltage. Pennies produce a brighter light. They last longer and you don’t have to feed pennies.
Not impressed…probably because I used to be an electrician. I’ve found there are lots of things that can produce a voltage…much to my cussing about it after being a momentary conductor of said voltage.
Also, he was not using a Fluke meter. Which means his measurements were questionable. No, I never had a rep from Fluke give me any doughnuts to convince me that their product is superior. I just got shocked instead. I don’t trust any meter other than Fluke.
Except their voltage pens. I do not trust any voltage pens. They all lie.
@3 – Silver/zinc works better for building coin batteries.

Pity you can’t buy a dime’s worth of silver for ten cents any more.
You had to know this was coming:
Motto for the meters (if not copyrighted alrady): “Fluke – more bang for your buck.”
Or:
“Vote for Sandra – As reliable as a voltage pen.”
