If you don’t feel like walking the government will provide you with a power scooter at no cost to you!
“Being There” as a reality show.
That quote sounds EXACTLY like something Chauncey Gardiner would say.
The main difference between Chauncey and Obama seems to be that one likes to WATCH, while the other prefers to LISTEN.
Treadmills, dead-ends, cliffs and chaos. Enjoy the ride while you can.

Weird.
How would he know, he’s been walking down the left path all his useless life.
Generic bachelor chow:
1 lb some kind of meat or meat-related product. (like sausage or hotdogs)
1 pkg some kind of frozen vegetable.
1 can cream of mushroom soup or tomato soup.
1/2 onion.
1 tsp salt.
1 pkg some kind of pasta. (elbow macaroni, egg noodles, spaghetti, fettuccine, shells, whatever.)
(any kind of starch like rice or potatoes can be substituted)
Bring 4 qts water to a boil, add salt.
While water is heating, add meat, vegetables and onion.
When water boils, add pasta. return to boil, stirring frequently, until pasta is done to taste.
Strain out water into another kettle, saving meat, veggies and pasta.
Add cream of mushroom soup OR tomato soup to meat, veggies and pasta, stir until well mixed.
Save kettle of saved broth in fridge for next batch of bachelor chow.
Eat chow, save the rest for next 4 meals, repeat.
It will fill you up, and you only need two kettles, a colander, a bowl, and a slotted spoon to cook it, serve it, and save it.
Less dishes to wash – which will probably save the planet or something.
God, I hope my wife gets better soon.
@8 – Even lazier bachelor chow:
Hamburger Helper plus meat plus veggies.
Saves the trouble of opening a can & slicing an onion.
Lived off it for years.

Pimento
Capers (if you have ’em)
Salt, pepper, paprika, turmeric (etc!)

Add some milk in the center of the large baking dish after all is mixed.
Bake uncovered for 25 minutes at 325.
Feeds a small army of teenagers – and Dad.
Oops, I forgot two steps;
Add 1 can of saved broth to empty can of mushroom or tomato soup, stir it around to dissolve the stuff that sticks to the side of the can, add to the rest.
waste not, want not.
Skim off fat that will congeal on top of the saved broth in kettle the next day and add it to your dogs dry dog food; They love that stuff.
#9 – Harvey, & #10 – Jimmy,
Thanks for the tips. 😉
Another Bachelor Chow recipe:
I’ve had lots of success with this one. Except that last item.
I cried because I had to cook, until I met the man who had no stove.
