I hate it when I’m supposed to feel guilty because I don’t live in a third world s**t hole.
#1 – zzyzx,
Don’t think of it as a guilt trip, think of it as a smooth attitude adjustment combined with subtle advertising.
1. You don’t have to feel guilty because you don’t live in a third world s**t hole, but it wouldn’t hurt you to feel Grateful that you don’t live in a third world s**t hole, right?
2. Gratitude leads to generosity, because you want to pass on your blessings (in this case, the blessing of not living in a third world s**t hole.)
3. Generosity means you send them a fat check so they can continue to look for clean water in third world s**t holes, but you feel good about it because in a small way you believe you’re helping to reduce the total number, or at least the severity of some third world s**t holes.
PS: Good to hear that Anonymiss has enjoyed a favorable result.
Hallelujah! Glad things went well for Miss Anonymiss. And what 4of7 said.
