I found a list called “The 25 most popular icebreaker questions based on four years of data“. So I’m gonna post a few, and see what happens.
Your mission: answer the question in the comments with a good story.
If you don’t have a good story, you are encouraged to make one up.
Have you had your 15 minutes of fame yet?
Yup – I made Snopes:
I threw my shoe at Obama once.
I threw a shoe at Johnny Rotten once and then he picked it up, sneered at it and threw it in front of the stage. I don’t count that as part of my 15 minutes and I’m sure I’ve told that story here before but by golly I’ll tell it every chance I get.
I made an appearance in an A & E Biography program about Ron Howard…it had to do with a high school yearbook. Got a good 20 seconds of face time, frightening the children…
I had several songs posted as actual threads at IMAO.
I have a chili recipe published in a recently printed cookbook called The Deplorable Gourmet. I’ll count that as about 4 minutes.
Yup.
15 minutes of Fame would have been far beyond my tolerance level, so no.
Well, I was on TV for a man-in-the-street interview after the Challenger disaster; I didn’t see, but I was told by classmates in college that I did OK.
Yes, I have. It was back when I was in the circus performing as an aerialist.
That and a dollar will buy me a cup of coffee, I guess.
