I have no reason to think this, but I still like to think that he published this due to pushback from the comic shown here.
I further like to think that the pushback involved people who took his “If you’re yelled at…” comment to include people who were invited to speak at college campuses, but couldn’t give their speeches due to protesters showing up and yelling over their talk.
