The armrest will go unused, correct? Because if one of them does “claim” it, then whatever group she belongs to must also be excluded from that section of the airplane.

Just thinking here but why is a woman’s claim to use the arm rest any better than a man’s claim? Is it some female privilege previously unbeknownst to humanity? A right cleverly hidden in some Constitutional penumbra like abortion?
Just thinking Part 2. Everyone seated on a plane has a least one arm rest to themselves to start. The Middle seat does have two, but that seems like just compensation for having to sit between two people in the first place.
How is that going work, really? I mean if gender is just a social construct how are they going to first define the section, and then how are they going to enforce it?

Doesn’t go far enough. All planes must be grounded. If not for the sake of the shared armrest issue but also because Gaia demands it in the name of carbon emission reduction.
