Well, I’m no go-getter, but I can easily pick up 2 or 3 bottles per minute, if they are all in a group. That’s easily around 133.3 bottles per hour. Gimme one minute and I’ll pick up two or three bottles out of a heap of spilled bottles. Right now. Here, see? I’m bending over to get them.
Clean-up “crews” = 2 people at the very least, by definition.
2 people x 6 hours per day = 12 hours (allowing lunch break and travel time)
12 hours of work x 133.3 bottles per hour = 1,600 bottles picked up.
1,600 bottles per day x 5 days = 8,000 bottles.
Now, how many people were getting pay for being on these work crews?
Must of been union workers. Had it been any quicker the unions would have raised hell.
Trade unions, government workers, and a publicity seeking politician(as if there were another kind) it’s a wonder they got it done in less than a month.

Remember how Obama interfered with the cleanup of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill? Calling cleanup vessels back to port to perform a coast guard inspection (which the coast guard can, and does, do at sea). Denying foreign cleanup vessels access to the area. Preventing the super tanker converted to oil sweep from getting involved because it only cleaned the water to 9 parts per billion and they wanted 6 parts per billion. If a politician is really in the way, you can bet it’s because they’re TRYING to produce a calamity they can use to their benefit. In Obama’s case, he wanted to prevent oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Interesting that the company doing the actual drilling (which was NOT BP) was run by Obama donors, and they received every safety waiver possible. Almost as if they were in on a plot to CAUSE a spill that could be used as an excuse to shut down oil drilling in the gulf.
Interesting… although it may be a stretch to credit the Obama administration with the competence to lay out a plot, much less execute it
