You have to wonder how the Democrats don’t understand this. Oh…wait. They’re Liberals.
Nevermind.
A considerable number of them (legislators, not rank and file dimmies) have no idea of how the process works. they think they’ll get to have a month or two of pointless hearings allowing them to grandstand endlessly, then a vote, and Trump won’t be president anymore. The more clueless among them think that magically Hillary will become president.
McConnell should announce that the House is wasting its time, because the Senate will not hold a trial.
I believe I read somewhere that an actual trial does not have to occur. I’m not sure of the full procedure on this. But I will say that politically they will probably have to go through the motions to keep the weenies satisfied.
