That’s awkward – during a speech in San Francisco, Democrat presidential candidate and former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper got booed after saying “socialism is not the answer“.
Well, he IS completely wrong. Assuming the question is “what’s the fastest way to destroy a prosperous nation?”

I like Shatner’s final speech in this. Almost wish he’d led with it. Also, not sure about the deaf guy. Deaf people can’t be astronauts. Lives ride on voice coms. That one may be diversity overkill.

President Trump told AOC to acquaint herself with Adam Smith. She started watching old Batman reruns.

Current California Governor Gavin Newsom expressed his pride is his state’s “forward-thinking legislation”.
“California is a state that holds the safety of its citizens as its highest priority,” said Newsom. “That’s why I’ve been proud to oversee the implementation of the banning of plastic straws – or ‘murder tubes’ as we call them. I’ve never actually seen the statistics on how many people died each year from using them, but I did once see a video of a sea turtle with a nose bleed. I was thinking ‘coke problem’, but my science advisors assured me it was a case of murder tube impalement.”
“I can only assume,” continued Newsom, “that if one turtle can become injured in the whole ocean, then thousands of Californians must have been dying from the same thing every year. Fortunately, thanks to our forward-thinking legislation, I have it on good authority that not a single Californian has died from murder-tubing since the law became effective at the beginning of the year.”
“I’m just glad this is making such a big difference,” Newsom concluded. “Can you imagine destroying a manufacturing sector and putting crippling regulatory burdens on every restaurant in the state without saving a single human life in the process?”

Works like this: I feed you Moon Nukers a straight line, and you hit me with a punch line in the comments.
New rule – in order to qualify for the debates, Democrat candidates have to…
This will likely not impact you, as there are very few Subscriber accounts remaining. This action resolves a potential security issue, and removes the redundancy of the functionality of an IMAO Subscriber Account.
Very few IMAO Subscriber Accounts existed. They were allowed during the first few months following the transition to the WordPress platform in 2008. The functionality of the Subscriber Account was to allow you to stay logged in and not have to re-enter your information when leaving a comment.
With the adoption of third-party log-ins, specifically Facebook, Twitter, Google, and WordPress, this functionality is no longer needed, and has been redundant for years.
Again, this likely will not impact you, as there are only a small number of users who have used the Subscriber Accounts to comment in the last 10 years.
Q: I don’t get the joke. What’s the joke?
A: There is no joke. This is an actual thing. We’re simply posting this Announcement for the benefit of the few users that still use a Subscriber Account.
Q: Do I have a Subscriber Account?
A: Probably not. And, if you have to ask, you aren’t using it even if you had it.
Q: How can I stay logged in if my account goes away?
A: Everyone who wants to stay “logged in” for commenting purposes — not having to re-enter name and email information each time — is encouraged to use one of the four services that are compatible with WordPress comments:
Q: I never had an IMAO Subscriber Account. Can I still use one of those four services?
A: Sure. We aren’t moving your account to one of those. We have accepted those accounts for years for “logging in.”
Q: I use to blog here. If my account going away? Will I still be able to blog here if I wish?
A: This change is only affecting Subscriber Accounts. This will not impact your Author Account. Note that some Author Accounts that have been inactive for years may have been changed to Contributor Accounts.
Oh, and we have missed you. Come back. Be part of the family again. Remember the good times.
Q: I may have other questions.
A: I may have other answers.
You asked the questions, and we answer them. Well, the ones that other ones of you didn’t already answer.
Speaking of which, here are the ones that earned my thanks — and bacon! — for answering questions left last time:
Now, the rest of the questions, answered. There aren’t many because of all the answers previously provided. But, here are the ones still needing an answer.

walruskkkch: If the Democrats pass articles of Impeachment against Trump and it gets kiboshed by the Senate trial will, or can they, keep on passing articles of impeachment? Asking for a friend.

The Constitution says that “The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” And since “The House of Representatives … shall have the sole power of impeachment,” the Democrats can keep impeaching for all kinds of made-up reasons, since the president has committed none of those acts. Of course, their doing that just means Trump gets re-elected and the left’s heads keep exploding until January 20, 2025. So fun times all around.

Jim: How do I change my post rating from a two to a five after my original large but dextrous fingers rating was accepted?

You can’t change your vote. But, you can vote more than once. You just have to register as a Democrat.
You can edit your comments within five minutes, though, in case you leave out words. Just sayin’.

walruskkkch: Is getting linked by Sarah Hoyt on a weekend painful or pleasurable? Asking for a friend.

You have some really weird friends. But to answer your question, getting linked by Sarah Hoyt is both painful and pleasurable. As many things are.
It’s always great when someone such as she links to a post at IMAO. But, it can be painful, too. Have you ever seen some of the comments that some people leave? You gotta wonder sometimes if they were dropped on their head as a child. Such is life on the Internet.
If you want to Ask IMAO Anything, there are a couple of ways to do that.
1. Leave a question in the comments. Either someone will answer it in the comments (click “Reply to comment” so it shows up under the question) or I’ll answer it next time.
b. Email your question to Ask.IMAO.Anything@gmail.com. Those go directly to me and I’ll answer them next time.
We can answer your questions, because we know everything. So ask us anything.
A new report shows that nearly 9-in-10 illegal aliens who have been recently released into the interior of the United States while they await their asylum hearings are not showing up to their court dates.
