Constitution’s Song (Song Parody)

(Based on Paul Simon’s “American Tune”)

Many’s the time I’ve been misshapen
And many times contused
Yes, and I’ve often felt forsaken
And certainly misused

Oh, but I’m all right, I’m all right
I’m just weary of the Left
Still, you don’t expect to be
As bright as Bonhomme Richard
When you’re justifying theft
That’s all you’re trying to justify: theft

And I don’t know incels who’ve ever mattered
I don’t pretend to feel at ease
Over the dreams they tried to shatter
Or have taken to their knees

Oh, but it’s all right, it’s all right
For we’ve lived so well so long
Still, when I think of the road
 we’re traveling on
I wonder what went wrong
I can’t help but wonder what’s gone wrong

And I dreamed I was Kelo
Saw my house stolen unexpectedly
And looking back now to see
Vacated property

And the Democrats lying
Anyone with eyes could clearly see
The Statue of Liberty
Failing through amnesty
With the Democrats lying

They decry the ship they called the Mayflower
Deplore the ship that sailed the moon
Explore the age’s most subversive hour
And will sink all America soon

Whoah – oh
It’s all right, it’s all right
It’s all right, it’s all right
You can’t reason with the Left
For some, tomorrow’s going to be another working day
And we’re trying not to be bereft
That’s all — we’re trying
To slow down theft.
